Our Ballerina Girl... 2 Attachment(s) :p So, last night we picked up a girl named Ballerina, who is 8 months old from our local airport. She is beautiful and sweet, even more than expected her to be. The only thing that concerns me is that her hair is wavy but maybe thats because they told me she did not let them brush her  She let me brush her last night  I am taking her to the groomers today and the vet and hopefully with a proper bath and comb she will be staight again :p. I think we are going to call her Belle or Bella but I also like Chloe but I think I should stick to as close to her name as possible. I am open to suggestins, if anyone had any close to her name that would be great!!! Here are some pics of her as soon as she got home last night. The program I used for red-eye-reduction sucks, sorry!!! I'll pst more pics after grooming... |
awwww, shes adorable..good luck with her. congrats!!!! enjoy her |
She's so beautiful!! Love the color! My yorkie has wavy hair also, that's just the way it's always been. I'm not sure if it's because he has a cottony coat? |
She is sooo pretty! Congratulations! |
She is adorable. Congratulations and good luck. Carol & Buddy |

She is just breathtaking gorgeous! Congratulations~ I vote Bella (Personally I am in love with that nickname for anyone skin or fur) |
She is so.... cute and pretty. Congratulations on getting her. :congrats: My Rudy's hair gets curlier when it's longer but after he's been to the groomers it's straight. I vote for the name Bella also. I think that's such a pretty girls name. Rudys Mom (Dawn):animal-pa |
:p :p Thank you everyone. I am going to go with Bella than!!! I have new pics to post later tonight!! |
Sad but Needed... :( Hi everyone...I just wanted to post and say atough Bella is a sweet girl I have decided that she is not right for my breeding program. She is too far from standard with the crimpy looking hair and AKC specifically says "not wavy", I just can not do it. Thankfully, when I explained to the previous owner they offered me a full refund and I would just have to pay the shipping boh ways. I am sad to see her go because she is so sweet, but it's something I gotta do. I resumed my search for the right female for us (I am looking for teenage or older) and am looking at two very promising girls and will keep everyone updated! :p BTW-I am going to pick up Pixie Dust from Dee - Sugar's Mom tomorrow from our airport!! and I am so excited... |

she looks precious. How many pups do you have now?? Are you rescuing pups? |
She looks so sweet! Congrats to you!! Now, all she needs to accompany her name is a ballerina outfit. |
too cute !! congrats |
I'm sorry Bella was not right for you. That's too bad. I thought she was so cute and beautiful. |
I did too and that's alot of traveling for a little yorkie :( :( - I hope she finds a great home soon - she's still a baby at 8 months old |
WOW, dId you not see pics of her before you bought her??? I thought breeders and show people were very carefull in the pickings of there stock!! Poor little thing having to travel all that distance twice, whats the poor dog to think??? Maybe next time you will "look" before you buy and this wont happen again... Sorry for being so "ruff" on you, but come on people these are living, breathing, warm hearted, loving animals that you are just tossing around. Gets my FUR to flying!!!!!!!! |
Maybe you can post some info about the seller for Bella. It seems there a quite a few inquiries about how YTmembers like her and her looks. Its sad to see her go back to her first family. Did you try placing her with someone else you knew that would have been interested first? |

Wow, she's a real looker! Too bad she's not right for breeding:( I'm sorry that you all had to go thorugh this. Did the seller realize that you wanted to breed her? It seems that the dog was misrepresented to you, if so. She told you that her coat was wavy because she didn't like to be brushed:confused: ? That right there is deceptive and I would DEMAND that this seller pay shipping both ways, it's her fault that you are not keeping her. Is there any way that someone here could adopt her? I hate to see her go back to someone that would misrepresent a dog in order to make a sale, it screams GREED to me:cry: I'm sure that you are really disappointed, that stinks:( |
She's a beautiful girl but obviously a cotton coat. I can understand your returning her. The search once again continues...good luck!! |
Good for you for not breeding a cotton coat yorkie. I have two cotton coat yorkies and wish My breeder had been as conciensious as you |

I think the breeder should sell her w/o her papers this way the new owner or mommy wont be able to under breed the Yorkie Standard. Is there any way you can tell us who the seller is. I am a first time buyer and yorkie mom and I dont intend to breed until i'm comfortable with the breed and beside my book knowledge i've gained I want to gain hands on experience. So someone like myself wont mind a wavy haired yorkie. Because if and when I do deside to breed I can always purchase a breed standard yorkie. Thanks, Mellisa:D Quote:

I understand your concern and it took me a while to decide, so she was not just tossed around. :( I thought she was right for my breeding program but it turned out that there was a big misunderstanding. I did see pictures of her. What I was told did not match what I had gotten. Her face is pretty straight but from mid-abdomen her hair was kinky, like a poodles. When you brush it out, it looked like a crimpy puff. I really liked her personality and even took her to the groomers to see what could be done because the previous owners told me that she just didn't let them brush her out  . As soon as I picked her up I knew I could not breed her with the AKC standard specifically saying "not wavy". I thought about it for a few days and had to do what was right for the both of us. Someone out there would fall in love with her but she is a pet quality Yorkie. It would have been very wrong for me to breed her and I bought her as a female to have as a loving pet and to breed. I love all my doggies very much! I feel bad she had to go back but your concern in my situation is in vein. :p A bad person would have bred her out of standard, and used her AKC Papers and would have added another bad line of Yorkies to the breed, not me. I explained to the previous owner that she should be let go as a pet only and she should not go with breeding rights. I really believe she had a poodle mix in her somewhere in her lines. Sugar's Mom knows my situation as I was discussing my plans and excitment with her... ;) I am still in the process of purchasing a new grown female (and not that I didn't before) but have done much more research and checked for more pictures, plus have a copy of her pedigree already. So, I learned my own lesson in this situation. |

Thank you both. The search might just have a happy ending! :p |

Even though they did misrepresent her I paid the shipping both ways but they refunded my bulk. I was glad to get that back because some breeders would not have even offered me that. |

She is wonderful, social, friendly, sweet and very demanding! I love that she is a little diva who knows just what she wants. I am sure KC's new mommy is very happy with him. Someone just took something negative and ran with it. |
