Maisy & Jakes New Litter Hello everyone!! Wow!! What a day for Maisy! She is such a trooper!! She had her puppies on Wed, starting at 5:45 am. A little girl came first, and then about an hour later, a little boy and then about an hour after that another little boy. But wait, she isnt done....she started pushing again for about 2 hours off and on. My vet was out of town, so I had to take her about an hour away to an emergency specialist vet. About 3 hours and lots of $$$ later(DEFINATELY WORTH EVERY PENNY), a little girl was removed via c-section. The little girl was trying to come out via one of her front and one of her back legs, so she was sideways. No way for Maisy to deliver her by herself. The little girl did not make it, but Maisy did wonderful!! She never whined or cried or was in the least bit hateful, she kept smiling at me the whole time. Which is more than I can say for most female humans in that state, myself included! She did wonderful during surgery and was back to nursing her 3 pups in no time. They are all doing great. Maisy was back to her old self the next morning and she had no pain meds after surgery. She is such a good natured and beautiful mom!! |
so sorry you lost the last little girl. glad mom and her other babies are doing so well. enjoy! |
