Reggie's Little Girls 4 Attachment(s) Reggie, our matriarch who was only seven years old, crossed over Rainbow Bridge on April 4th, 8 days after giving birth to 6 babies, 5 girls and one boy. The boy struggled and passed on April 3rd. Thanks to some help from above, and the efforts of Reggie's daughter, Sissy, who took over yorkies motherly duties despite not having any milk, and Sissy's daughter, Roxie, the five little girls have thrived. And add our 19 week old Dante who became the chief cleaner, and me with the bottle, they are growing like bad weeds. I finally got some pictures of the girls. They are a little messy because real food was introduced yesterday. Their first feeding they looked like they had been in a food fight. On our website, http://www.garlinyorkies.info, go to puppies page, click on Reggie's Girls for more pictures. Wait until you see them.................... Left to right: Faith, Hope, Charity, and Star We are keeping Love who will be officially known as Reggie's Angel Babe Love. You will have to go to our website to see her. Not enough room here to put her picture too. |

Thanks. I think they are adorable too! Even with food all over them and really yucky! I thought long and hard about their names. I even had several others picked out then out of the blue came Love, Faith, Hope, Charity and Star. I think they are very appropriate. I hope the new owners will keep their birth names, even if only part of their official name. It sure would mean a lot to me if they did. |
What beautiful babies! I cant wait to see them grow up :D |

Our girls had their first outing. I would never consider taking pups under 6 weeks anywhere without their first shots, BUT, we were spending the weekend at our son's and I didn't feel comfortable leaving them at home. Saturday to play with the grandkids and deliver Dante to he's new family, Tashasmom, and Sunday I was exhibiting at a doll show. Needless to say, I couldn't leave the babies at home so we loaded up the Explorer with dolls, the old playpen, Roxie, Dante, our granddaughter Emilee, Grandma, and filled a diaper bag with their stuff, and off we went. I figured the playpen was the best protection for the puppies.......wrong! Everyone had to hold them, the neighbor's had to come and see them and hold them. The grandkids had to hold them, over and over and over again. But they survived, although, I was having a tough time with it. Guess I'm just being too protective of my girls. I've tried with almost every litter to give one of our babies to our son's family. They had a corgi that died from liver shunts. I wanted to give them one after that, but daughter-in-law didn't want to be bothered with another dog and wouldn't have such a small dog. They have another corgi now and after spending two days with the babies, she decided that maybe a yorkie would be a good thing and says Charity is her favorite. I think she's putting in a big hint............ We're keeping Love, one girl will be going to VA, one to CA, one to NY, and that leaves one. We'll see! Driving home all I could think about was how empty the house would be. Reggie was always there to greet me, so excited to see us and not happy until I picked her up and gave her some lovin'. Everyone was happy to see us but it just wasn't the same tonight. |
I read that "Yashasmom" and bout fell out of my chair laughing..lol..I love typos hehe.. Yes I seen it she has milk and is nursing the pups. She's also very protective of them.We came up to the playpen and she ran and stood in front of them. She is being a very good mommy. So who is getting star? She is the one I fell in love with. But they all were adorable..they have baby doll faces little ears and small compact bodies. They were all small so I doubt they get to be very big. She had some tiny babies. There was one that was bigger than the rest but the others were tiny. And healthy. They ran all around that pen like they were 8 week old pups lol..it was so cute. And Linda is great. She answered all of my questions and then some..Plus we hit it off great. We need to get together sometime and camp or something..we'd have so much fun. |
