She may chew on the wooden sides of the crib and mattress and depending on the width between the side slats, may be able to get her head hung between them. The cloth mattress will soak up urine and feces, as even a fully pee-pad covered one will have the pads displaced through the day/night. Cheaper and more convenient to just go with an easily movable, portable, regular crate/cage of the appropriate size with a slide-out, removable base for easy cleaning, as they are chew-proof, pee/feces proof and safer than a baby crib for a puppy. Without the mattress, most cribs have large sections in the base that her feet could fall through, even with pee pads or newspapers over them.
A real plus with a crate/cage, you can regularly take it outside for a good hosing down and sunning/airing out, something you couldn't do with a baby crib unless you are Hulk size. A crate/cage is also collapsible so that you can easily carry it around or place it in your car, another thing you couldn't do with a baby crib. |
