Pregnant Yorkie Tups I used to breed yorkies. I was unable to breed my last two dogs due to issues I did not want to pass on to a litter, so it’s been several years since I breed.. My 4 pound yorkie is five weeks pregnant the sire is three pounds. Any tips are extremely welcome. jennie |
It’s dangerous to breed a female under 5 pounds. Reputable breeders don’t breed females smaller then 5 pounds. Hopefully she makes it through safe but I wouldn’t breed her again. |
me too.. I used to breed yorkies several years ago also. my fist female was 4 lbs and I breed her several times. first litter was four puppies. she did fine but after that she had C-sections. Would I do it again? HECK NO I now have a 4lb female that is 8 months old I've only had her for a week waiting for her to settle in and then I plan on getting her spayed. any female , any size, any breed CAN run into whelping problems. Have some $$$$ on hand for C-section if need be. good luck and keep us posted. |
Yep, what they said above. General practice is it is dangerous to breed any female Yorkie Indes five pounds. They usually end up with C sections and often complications. And yes, it gets expensive. Good luck to you and your pups. I would stay in lose comt@ct with the vet as the pregnancy progresses. |
update?? has she had the puppies? |
