So Excited- getting a new baby from Deb and Amazing yorkies!
 

We lost my little Chanel a few weeks ago and after an EXTENSIVE search not only for the perfect pup..but the perfect breeder we found Deb Sillers and Amazing Yorkies.

She has the perfect little girl for us and I am so excited! I'll be flying into Kansas City over Easter Weekend to pick up our new little fur baby.

I'm having a contest on FB ( Paulaharrismusic) to determine what the baby's name will be.

The top Contenders are:

"RISA" (shortened version of the word "laughter" in both spanish and Italian)
Has almost 18 votes so far.

Second place is CARA Meaning darling in Italian with 12 votes

And tied for third and fourth are DIVA and RENA ( Rena is the phonetic version of the Hebrew word for Joy) with 8 votes each

Personally I like both of the top 2 choices but what do yo all think?

I attached a picture of the little girl...she's gonna be about 3 pounds fully grown. Deb says she plans on stealing the Name Risa for one of her future pups. . I told her to go ahead! We had lots of great name possibilities by the way. Maybe some of you are also looking

Aura (breath of air or Soul)
Caro...sweet like syrup
Dolce - Italian for Sweet
also Etta, Ella and Chaka ( diva names for diva dogs)

There are several members on Yorkie Talk that have one of Deb's pups, and all speak very highly of her. By the way, isn't Deb in Oregon now (Kansas??).

Yes she IS in Southern Oregon now ( and I thought she was when I initially contacted her) But apparently the pups are still in Kansas...Well Kansas City is where I will be Flying into- the pus are in Fairfax MO. SO that's where I'll be going to get them. :)

What an exciting little Easter present. Deb's Amazing Yorkies are quite well known on Yorkie Talk, and that is a good choice of breeder!

I am so sorry for your recent loss of Chanel. Many of us have also suffered that deep loss of losing a little fur baby. It is nice that you are looking forward to opening your heart up again to the joy that a Yorkie can bring.

The last furbaby I lost in 1990- I grieved for over a decade before I got Chanel. in 2003 But I learned that only makes it worse and that hole she left is too big. I know I will always love Chanel but my heart isn't limited to a finite amount of love and I think that having a new furry child will give us something fun and positive to focus on rather than the loss of our last one. We had so many health issues the last 2 years it will be a delight to have a happy and healthy baby jumping around. Looking forward to it so very much.

And yes Deb does have a wonderful reputation not just for having beautiful dogs but for treating them well. That was important to me. Cuz you know to me at least ( grins) "Dogs are people too"!

I vote Risa or Aura - beautiful names for a beautiful girl.

Congratulations. She is really precious and so tiny. After my last of three little Yorkie girls passed away at close to seventeen, it was almost two years before Katie joined our family. We were so lonely and very sad without Ashley, and Katie was the best medicine to heal our broken hearts. I'm really glad that you decided to open your heart again. She will give you infinite reasons to smile.
