13 WEEKS ( 3 months ) Dog? or Bunny Rabbit???

LOOK! Athena's ears finally both stood up. I swear they are so weird. For a long time only one was up and the other down. then I took her to the vet for vaccinations and they both went down again for several days. now, for the last 3 days they have both been standing up..........lol.

thing is, they are so big she looks like shes part bunny rabbit....giggles. Just in time for Easter. I am on the hunt for a bunny costume for her. :lol tears

Athena is a beautiful lil girl, you did a GREAT raising her, I LOVE her ears. She will have a happy, loving life with a great mom.

WooHoo now those are some adorable ears. I fell in Love with Buster ears first so I am in love with your sweet girls adorable ears! We used to joke about Buster being part bunny as well because he also loves carrots and lettuce.

Well Athena will be 4 months old on monday, which is also the day we bring her in to get spade. So wont be a very fun 4 month old birthday for her. Poor baby. but necessary. Were also getting her micro chipped while shes already knocked out.

Here she is enjoying the outdoors.

Thank you. At 4 months she weighs 7.1 pounds now. Already at or past what standard is at full grown.

You are doing a wonderful job with Athena! I came across YT after searching how to care for an injured Yorkie about 9 years ago. My 3lbs yorkie was mauled by a 75lbs German Shepherd. YT gave me the support I needed to care for my baby. My Gus made a full recoverly. We've met some truly wonderful people here. YT was also there for me when my little guy passed away 6 years later. The love and support I got here was so heartwarming. I'm looking forward to seeing your little one grow and thrive!

FIRST HAIR CUT ( 19 weeks )

So I gave Athena her first trim today and cut off all her black tips from her puppy hair. now that her hair is growing out , its growing out lighter and she looked like she had reverse highlights. so got rid of most of those. She looks so different with the black gone. Both of her parents were completely blonde, well see if she turns out that way eventually.

She weighs 9 pounds now. Lord she may get bigger then 10 pounds. looking that way if 9 pounds at 5 months. she has outgrown 3 harnesses.....lol

thank you Dawn. now you know why im waiting to have you make her a new harness, she is growing so fast I cant keep up. Just waiting for her to slow down a bit, or for the holidays. I definitely want an outfit for her an zeus for the holidays.

They do grow fast . . but she'll slow down around 8 months or so and should be at her full weight by 15 months. I can always make one with room to grow. But again I thought she would gave plenty of room to grow in the harness I made for her. She out grew that in lightening time !!

Oh so pretty! She looks a lot like my Tiki, who was also very light at that age (but her back got a bit darker again after 2 yrs old)

Its hard to know what she will do. both of her parents were completely blonde. No dark on them at all.

I think im going to be sad when I share the last one on her one year birthday. Not that much longer.then it will be time to move out of the nursery.
