meet Princess Katie!! We have a new addition to our family. Our beloved Deever is gone a month, and by chance we saw an ad in a local paper. My husband and my daughter thought we should go and take a look and low and behold we fell in love with a little female morkie. She has red hair like Lucille Ball, with a blonde undercoat and black markings on her ears nose and tail. Yes, she has a tail!!!! We have her now and love her so much. She is a ball of fire! Don't know much about tiny pups. And I think she may have had a low blood sugar episode the other day, because after she ate she was just fine. Kinda scary. Any advise on that issue would be helpful. She doesn't like kibble too much. But likes pretzels. Our guy was 14 pounds in his prime, but Katie should only be about 5 to 7 pounds. Haven't had a puppy in 17 years. She distracts us from the pain for sure, but I still miss my little guy like nobody's business. :animal-pa |
I hope your Katie brings you the kind of happiness, love, and laughter that my Katie brings to us. Your baby sounds so precious. I'm very sorry about the loss of your little boy. Katie joined our family two years after we lost our seventeen year old Ashley, and she definitely helped to heal our broken hearts, but we will always miss and love our Rainbow Bridge babies. Have Nutrical (or Karo syrup if need be) on hand when you suspect hypoglycemia. It should only be given when there is a problem, as too much of it can bring on episodes. |
I am sorry for the loss of your beloved Deever. I am glad you found Princess Katie. She sounds adorable. Like Lisa said above make sure you have nutrical handy and make sure she is eating often. |
The photos in your album are adorable. Your Katie reminds me a lot of my Morkie Meika. She had the same coloring as a pup, but is a little lighter red now at 5 years old. Enjoy your little doll! |
thanks all. I'm kind of wondering if she had a low sugar episode or just afraid of something. That night I was frying something and the sizzling was loud. since then no problems. Then last night, frying and sizzling stuff again, and she seemed afraid? Maybe just coincedence, but I'm going to keep something on hand just in case anyway. I've been grinding kibble up and putting in her wet food also because she didn't want to eat any. She may just need more carbs. :animal-pa |
Sorry for your loss of you little guy. I know Katie will help heal the emptiness and will bring laughter and love to your family. |
