We found our puppies! Well, we found a local breeder, did some investigating and she is well known as a good breeder. We ended up picking up a boy and a girl, couldn't just take one. They 9 weeks old and had their first shots, wormed, etc... All is good here! Our little boy is named Stanley Our little girl is named Reese...also known as reeses or reecie i'll post pics soon |
Congratulations. I'm surprised that a good breeder would let them go so young. They usually keep them until at least 12 weeks. |
Congratulations!! Have lots of fun with Stanley and Reese!! Can't wait to see pictures. |
are they home at 9 weeks old!? if so this is way too young to be away from the mother and littermates. 12 weeks is much more desireable. puppies home under that age often have issues with hypoglycemia and biting problems. i don't know your breeder, but a good reputable breeder will not send a pup home under 12 weeks. |
Congrats on your new little furbuts :) |

Congratulations on your new babies. I am so glad you were able to find a breeder you could trust near you. That is always good.:) |
Thanks all, it's been really great so far. Their fighting is looking a lot more like playing as we are watching closer. They seem to be very happy. Like I said elsewhere, we have done quite a bit of research and talking to breeders (some who have been doing for 10+ years) and many said 8-10 weeks is when they always sell their puppies. I realize a lot of people here recommend 12, but it seems there are just as many who are on the other side. We were able to see some references and in the end had a good trust relationship with the breeder and are very happy with them. we actually had one breeder willing to part at 6 weeks......that we disagreed with. |

Congrat's on your new babies!! They are adorable!! |
they are adorable I have let my puppies go at eight weeks the last two litters and they have done wonerful in there homes. I think if you have tiny tiny yorkies yes they should stay longer but if they are standard size and eating dry puppy food well they will do just fine. Your babies are beautiful enjoy them as they will make you smile and laugh every day. |
Congratulations. They are both adorable. |
