Hello,
Does anyone know a good reputable Biewer breeder with reasonable prices?

Since I'm not a breeder, I'm going to put my foot in it but here goes...

Depends on what you mean by reasonable. A good breeder is most likely not going to have what you would consider low prices. Good breeders are in it for the betterment of the breed - not for the money. But they have enormous costs - food, supplies, veterinary care; as well as costs associated with showing their dogs. And since they spend so much time caring for and showing their dogs, they're not going to have high-paying careers to help defray those costs.

A pet-quality dog from a GOOD breeder is going to be costly because it cost the breeder a great deal to produce that dog. On the other hand, if you buy a dog from a back-yard breeder or puppy mill, your initial price may (and I emphasize MAY) be lower, but your lifetime cost could be much higher due to health issues frequently found in these dogs.

Of course, you may already know this in which case I apologize for the sermon. Many of us have learned the hard way about puppy mills and really want to see others avoid those mistakes.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of Biewers than I can point you to a good breeder in your area.

I guess what I mean by reasonable is about $1500. I just do not want to pay something ridiculous like $3000 for a pet.

I guess my preference would be a female, but I would not mind a male.

If Breny doesn't have something, You should talk to Melissa with WVYorkies. She is here on YT and her website is www.wvyorkies.com. I believe she a female that is too small for her breeding program. If not, there are many nice breeders here on YT.

Thinking the same thing here about Breny. Also,I was going to suggest checking with Kim (Peanut)...aren't she and Melissa working together (I knew Kim had posted baby pics a few weeks back).

I agree with Boopster. I've only seen a $3000 from a puppy mill dog (Pet store, brokers, etc.) You're best bet in finding a healthy happy dog is from a breeder who cares. Check out the YTCA referral page. They are the mother club for the yorkshire terrier, and can refer you to people in your area. Remember, you buy your breeder first. Lots of breeders will be sweet with you when you are buying, but once purchase is over, they disappear.

Since the nursery is for sharing new pups and watching them grow:
You might want to as Admin or Mod to move your post to the Yorkies For Sale or Wanted Forum....You'd get better response there.

I don't think that the YTCA breeder referral page is where the OP would want to start. As the OP is looking for a Biewer.....she can check those clubs, and make her decision from there, since each one has a different philosphy on Biewers.

Several breeders in Florida and I know a couple have pups available now.
