It was a long long night 4 Attachment(s) ...and an even longer morning.... Scarlett officially went into labor around 8 pm last night. A slight tightening of her abdomen was the tell tale sign that the big event was about to take place. Pup #1 (temporarily known as Mz. Hot Pink) burst into the world after a few hard contractions and was happily nursing away even she was all the way “out”. Puppy #2 (temporarily known as Mz. Green) arrived shortly after 1 am. Scarlett and I both waited until around 3 am for the arrival of puppy #3 and then we both finally conked out. Puppy #3 had not arrived by 8am this morning – Scarlett and Mz. Hot Pink and Mz. Green were all resting peacefully but I WAS freaking out – two pups yet to come, but no signs of labor. I could hear both heart beats loud and strong. I did the only thing that made sense to me, I called Dr. Amy – and since Scarlett was in no distress but was being lazy, Dr. Amy suggested that I get Ms. Scarlett up and get her moving and if nothing happened within an hour to bring her in. So… we walked around and around and around the house. And we walked around and around and around the house some more…… Just when I was getting ready to snuggle them into the car to go see Dr. Amy, Scarlett started having contractions and then quit so guess what – we walked around the house some more. At 11:30 am Mz. Red popped out. Following another long pregnant pause and Mz. Teal made her appearance at 1:35 pm. So without further ado, please help me welcome the Kooper and Scarlett's Plus Four |

Oh Cindy, they are all beautiful! Sounds like a trouble free whelp, nice healthy sizes, and icing on the cake................all girls!:p It's going to be so fun watching them grow in the next few months. Congratulations, & now finally you can get some rest. |

Congratulations! The 3rd puppy came out 10.5hrs later?? Wow, I would've been freaked out if it didn't come out in 2 hrs.:D Now you can get some rest...mama looks like she's doing an excellent job! Mz Hot Pink has a different b-date than all her other sisters. |

Dr. Amy has always reassured me that if mom isn't in any type stress, then don't panic. She has taught me that labor and delivery can take time and I need to be patient. At the first sign that mom and/or babies are in trouble I call and if necessary head to the vet. Within 15 -20 minutes one of our regular vets will be taking what ever medical steps are necessary to assure healthy mom and babies. And believe me, we have made a couple of late nighters with moms in labor. |
Congrats !congrats ! Oh Cindy , they're so sweet, Scarlett & Kooper should be so proud, you did good , Wow all night that was long, They look so very healthy and cute. How is Scarlett doing? She looks exhausted or is she just sleeping thur all of this LOL:eek: U take care, and get some rest pls post more pictures , when u have time.And Ms Scarlett gets her beauty sleep Ha!
