Finally figured it out...here is a pic of Bella Mia and her almost 3 week old pups!!!!:D:D

My gosh, they are so fat.....poor mom, have you started to let them lap. Give poor Bella a break.....

You did good Angela, tell Bella her babies are gorgeous and give them all kisses for me.

Wow, would you look at those sweet babies! You can sure tell that mom's been taking good care of them. That is a really good picture with them all lined up like that. Mom looks great too.

They are little fatties!! I am italian and we believe in feeding our families well:D Bella is fed around the clock but I do notice when the pups nurse it looks like it takes a toll on Bella. The pups are very "licky" so is that an indicator that they are ready for something new?? Can you explain lap? I am assuming this will be when they lap something from a shallow bowl? Is the something formula or something different?

I have also moved them to a kiddie swimming pool with a blanket for padding (during the day while we are in the living room with them) At night or when we are not home they all go back in the whelping box. Bella loves the pool because she can get in and out easily. I like it because I can easily keep an eye on them all and easy to clean up!

Thanks!!! Bella Mia is a wonderful mommy! I put her and all the pups in a "kiddie pool" lined with a blanket and they all had room to spread out which made for the perfect photo opportunity!

Start with giving them each a tube of Benebac (probiotic), get it at petsmart.

I started with my last litter at 3 weeks of just the Goats Milk, and after a week added the Rice Cereal. At about 4-5 weeks a began adding the puppy food.

Fix a large pie tin of Canned Goats Milk = parts of distilled water, Gerber's Rice Cereal make it very soupy so they can lap it up easy. You can add a bit of Karo Syrup to it. Don't expect miracles, especially if Bella's milk is abundant. Let them lick it from your fingers. Feed at Room Temp. They're gonna make a mess. Walk through it and the likes. Keep Bella out of the area for about an hour and do it before they nurse. Once you put Bella back in she'll lick the plate clean and clean the pups. Then you can add new bedding.

With this many pups, this is the time you should really monitor Bella to make sure she isn't being depleted of calcium and the pups taking to much out of her.

Okay I will try that tomorrow morning after I find the probiotic. Bella's milk looks to be abundent (she always looks full). She is eating for breakfast 2 scrambled eggs mixed with Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers soul kibble, lunch and dinner is boiled chicken, white rice, Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers soul kibble, and american cheese all mixed together, dry kibble and water are ALWAYS available for her. Our family's schedule makes it easy to feed her plenty of good foods. She also takes a calcium supplement 1/2 tab for her weight. She loved cottage cheese throughout her pregnancy (until the last 2 weeks when I stopped it) however now she refuses to eat it.

I'd do a full tab for her 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening....especially with the size litter she's feeding.

Use the benebac whenever you do changes to their food.

Always have a toad in the pile and a dinky.

From my Bella Mia to yours....she did a GREAT job and her puppies are BEAUTIFUL!!!! Can't wait to watch them grow.....keep those photos coming....kisses to all! :)

How cute is that picture. The babies look great ....sounds like both mommies are doing a great job. Can't wait to see more pictures

Minus the mess I think it went well. I woke them from a nap so once we finished with all the pooping and peeing and probiotics. I made the pups gruel and I put it on my fingers and then across their little mouths...I did the toad first and he totally got the hang of it right away so I placed him at the pan and he lapped away...One other little guy picked it right up too. The other three would lick it off my fingers but not from the pan. Only one pup actually climbed in the pan before I could catch him.:p Bella cleaned them all up after I finished with them. How many times a day should I try this little adventure?

3 times a day....so, they can get the hang of it. You'll find as they all get it they'll nurse less on her. About the 4th or 5th week their milk teeth come in, her milk consistency changes and she won't let them nurse as much......but, make sure you put her in at least at night, so they can drain her.....I usually let my moms call the shots. But, with a big litter, you might want to help things along about the 6 - 8th week.

I love when they walk through the food.....it's too cute to see them all messy. Reminds me of when my babies started feeding theirselves......in the hair, up the nose, on the walls.....in my hair

Ok so two of us fed the little guys and gal and what a MESS! I need another shower just to get it out of my hair :D Somehow one pup always gets in the pan! I have gruel all over me and Shaun just helped with feeding his boy (the toad "Sherman Tank" we call him Sherman) who probably is the only one not needing help as he laps it right up. I am recruiting the kids to do it at lunch and dinner time from now on while I watch. The pups seem to like it though. Bella asissts with clean up of the pups and the leftovers. It is great though I wouldnt have it anyother way! Not sure how all you professional breeders do this regularly because it certainly is alot of work to do it right! My respect goes out toyou all!!

Hey! Maybe one, at the most 2 litters a year. And then I've skipped a couple of years. Just depends on where I am in the showing process.

But, it's so rewarding....watching these little guys grow. My last litter were walking at a week, way before their eyes opened.

I had a litter that one little girl at a week old was getting out of the whelping box and crawling to her mothers cottage cheese and lapping it up.

By regularly I am meaning more than one litter EVER LOL. I can not imagine 2 litters in a year and showing and grooming and the time involved with all of that. I am sure you have it all down pat Mary!! I believe I saw a picture of your boy and he is absolutely stunning! Proof that you are wonderful at what you do!

The pups truly are rewarding! They have me smiling throughout the day and happy to see them do new things. Today one was wagging his tail, and another scratched like he had an itch they are soooo cute! I can play and watch them for hours. I am lucky to have a very pet loving family cause the pups are all of our lives right now. The pups are very well loved by us all!

As far as CJ he belongs to Tegamom/Mary Ann, I only bred him. But, all the cudos go to Mrs. G. of This Time Yorkies....it's her line, she just entrusted me with it..

Showing and all the rest. Well you just let things go by the wayside. Determine what is more important.....A super clean house, or happy babies....To top it off we moved in to real fixer upper, so each room is being done from top to bottom.

Take lots of pics, savor this time, it's so rewarding.

Congratulations. You sound like you are enjoying the puppies as well you should. The time does go by so quickly.

And what about cleaning house--not when there is puppies--just laundry gets done--need clean pee pads and blankets for the puppies.
