Keely had her puppies!!
 

It has been a very busy past few days, but I wanted to let you all know Keely had her puppies Sunday night! She had two boys, currently named Optimus (after the Transformers) and Cullen (after the Twilight book series). She made it seem almost effortless and pushed out the two pups almost back to back without making a peep. We had no idea she gave birth to the first one. Rachael heard a licking noise and sure enough we rolled out of bed and looked down in to the whelping area and there was one. She cleaned it up, lifted her tail up a bit and shot the other one out without any effort. Both seem very healthy and are gaining about .5oz. per day which is good from what I have read.

Keely is doing great for his first time being a Mother. She spazes out big time and cries whenever we try to pick one up to check it out and weigh it. It simply amazes me how their maternal instinct kicks in. She kinda always was like that with Maverick. She licks his face to make sure it stays clean and all that jazz, but to instantly know "Okay I am a Mom now, this is what I need to do..." amazes me like I said. Anywho, here are some pics of them. My favorite is the last cause it shows how small they are and always Keely freaking out because we are touching her baby. LOL! The camera flashed her eyes so that makes her look like even more of a Psycho Mom.

Congrats on your babies, sounds like evrything went the way it is suppose, hope it continues and the babies grow up stronge & heathy. They are so cute.

Congratulations! It's great when all goes smoothly... wish they were all like that! Keely looks like she wants to zap you with her xray vision in that third picture!! :D

Wow, they sure did grow :) What cuties. Momma sure looks proud and I don't blame her!
