12 weeks is considered the best age for puppies to go to their new homes. |
I got my pup at 12 weeks this seems to be the norm |
My puppies are 8.5 weeks old and they still nuzzle with mom a couple times of day. They eat solid food too. Mom plays with them and wrestles with them. My puppies leave at 12 weeks. |
I never consider them even being looked at until they are 12 weeks old.. in fact piper went to Lisa.. and she came to my house to say I would love to have her and at that time she was around 14 weeks.. I am baby sitting piper today until tuesday and I am tickled pink with the opportunity to have that precious baby with us again even of for a short few days... Hope that helps.. momma needs them.. momma needs to let the babies go from her ... and babies need momma... for momma teaches them a lot from the ages of 8 weks to 12 weeks...anne |
I too have never had a dog have puppies. U am clueless. My Lilly is due around june 15th. I hope i do everything right!! The dad and mom were rescues and were told had papers but we never recvd them. A friend has the dad and I have the mom who got pregnant in transit here to Ga from Tnn. This is her 2nd litter? maybe third we are not clear on that either. sadly. She goes to the vet this week for a check up is an ultrasound a must? What else can i do for her right now? clueless yorkie mom.- When she has them and they are 12 wks -since they do not have proof of akc papers, what do you sell them for? at least to cover vet bills? |
