I just wanted to give everyone a look at the babies that were born on 3/1/09. They will be 6 weeks old tomorrow and it's hard to believe how fast the time went. They are weighing in as follows:

Prada - female 1lb 7oz
Gucci - big boy 2lb 3oz
Louis Vitton - boy 1lb 10oz (weighed 2.8oz when he was born)
Farrari - boy 1lb 8oz

I want to share my experience with everyone. This was Ellie's first litter and she is a great mom. The puppies are slowly being introduced to food, but still want to nurse. Ellie doesn't mind, but she has slowed down on the amount of time she will allow them to nurse.

Thanks for everyone's support, and understanding of the pregnancy. I couldn't ask for a better litter or mom.

The Daddy looks like a little baby himself. How old is the Daddy and how much does he weigh?

Really nice litter.

To help discouraging the puppies from nursing , I dress up my female with baby clothe like this one. So the mom can spend all the quality time she want with her pups.

The daddy is 2 years old. He weighs 3.5lbs. He's the best. His name is Captain Jack Sparrow and the mother's name is Elizabeth Swan. I love Pirates of the Caribbean.

That's what I am planning on doing when I feel like the babies are eating enough on their own. I don't want to rush it. I am letting mom spend less and less time with them. She only feeds them about 4 times a day and then sleeps with them at night. So far they are all doing great.

I know when I bred my Silky's a good long while ago. I had a hard time giving them up, thats why I ended up with six. Are you going to sell them, I dont know if you had puppies before, but its hard to give them up.
