Oh they are so cute. I am glad to hear they are doing so well. I am so sorry to hear about you losing your mamma dog, but it looks like you are doing really well with the babies.

Your little babies look like they are doing very well. I just came from your other thread and am deeply sorry and saddened about the mama. I of course have heard of eclampsia and even know of some that have had it, but this is the first one I've heard of that actually died from it.

yes it is...they are 4 weeks and 3 days now. sorry. lol

That sounds more like it! I know I get to typing and in a hurry and make a few mistakes myself. You are doing such a wonderful job with your babies. Are you planning to keep one for yourself? I would just about bet you will.

Your babies are so precious. I know you are very busy. My daughter in law is a vet tech, and I just nursed 4, 3 week old mixed chi- s**tz for her. Someone dropped them off at the clinic to be put to sleep. The mother had died, and she was too tired to do it anymore. After about a week, she asked for them back, I guess she just needed a rest ( the owner) You will bond with those babies so much, I did, and I am not even a fan of those breeds of dogs; but puppies are so special no matter what the breed. I am in Florida too, and am in the market for a new sibling for sawyer. I will keep you in mind as the pups get older. That is if you will be able to let any of them go by then:)

You bet!! I am keeping a little girl in hopes she is anything like her mom was. :) I would keep them all if they hadn't already been promised. I keep hopeing that someone will change their mind. LOL

Oh no. Did you have to give them back? I am tired but it is all worth it. Just to look in those little faces, knowing that they need you. And the puppy breathe...I am sold!! LOL

Yes, I had to give them back. I was just keeping them until they were old enough to go to their forever homes. The lady that had them said she was just so stressed about the loss of the mother that she couldn't bear to see the puppies. After a few days, she realized she had been wrong, and was just so glad the babies hadn't been put to sleep. I guess we all handle stress in different ways. I had fed them every two hours for a week, took them out to potty, and cleaned their little faces and tushes; so I was sad to see them go back. Sometimes the hardest jobs are the most rewarding as you well know. Enjoy your babies, their Mommy is watching and grateful:)

I am so sorry to hear about mom...my heart goes out to you and the babies!! They are so precious...keep up the great job. Can't wait to see more pictures and to watch them grow.
