Wooooww, 7 adorable babies. May they all thrive!! be healthy! Mommy must be exhausted! I hope she recovers quickly. Thank God she did it all on her own (no c-section). How blessed are you! Congratulations!! |
Congrats onn7 babies:D Can't wait to see pics |
Wow, 7!!! Congrats! |
Glad to hear eveyone came without a problem! That is a very large yorkie litter, I would supplement the strongest ones and let mom feed the weaker or smaller ones (maybe the girls). Best wishes for them to all flourish! Our yorkie Quaker was one of 8, 6 girls and 2 boys. They all made it too! :) |
omg 7 of them???? Poor Baby ! A big congrats :D That momma deserves some extra spoiling ;) |
3 Attachment(s) Hi, see pics attached... |
Congratulations again on you new babies. Momma and babies are precious. |
angel shakes alot. No tempurature, no wierd discharge. Vet says she is fine as long as she is eating and taking care of pupps. Any other opinions on this? |
Shaking and trembling is a sign of low calcium. Have you started her on a calcium supplement? It is going to be very important that she eats a lot more meals. I alway feed my moms at 6:30 a.m., 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Make sure she is eating a good quality puppy food. I add canned Pedigree Lamb and Rice Puppy food to their dry food. Also cottage cheese and eggs are good for nursing mother. She will need plenty of nutrition to feed 7 babies. The calcium supplement is essential. A little karo syrup and water might help her too. |
Do you have any Cal-sorb on hand. If not then I recommend you order some as soon as possible. You can get it from Revival Animal Health Products. They also have a good calcium supplement called Doc Roy's Healthy Bones, my girls love them. Some people also give their nursing moms Tums but I have never tried using them. Be sure to keep taking her temperature a couple times a day just in case she starts getting an infection. |
it could also be pain...they will tremble from pain and her uterus is still contracting back down, so there is still some pain. It could be her calcium, but I would worry about her sugar levels too...I would be giving her Nutrical a few times a doy or putting some Karo in her water. We put Karo in their water for about a week after whelping, it helps keep their appetite going and their strength good! |
So Do You Have Your Litter Promised??? How Far From Canada Am I , Im In Pa??? Wanting A Girl!!!!!!!! |
I Forgot Congrats On The New Babys!!!!! |
Thanks all for your warm wishes. You guys kept me sane the psat few days. Mother seems fine. All are eating and I am supplimenting as well. Have a appointment at vet tomrorrow so I will grab some nutrical then. Will add some more pics when I can. |
I have been checking back to this thread on & off since the beginning....WOW, congrats on your big litter of pups! I'll keep Angel and her kids in my thoughts for continued good health to all. And yes...please, keep the pics coming when you can.:D |
Well, good night all. I think I can finally get more than 3 hours of sleep tonight in my own bed. Haven't done that in 5 days. I'll keep you all posted when I get back from vets tomorrow. |
WOW!!!!!!!!!! What a nice litter and they are all so pretty!!!!!!! Just wait until they all start running around at the same time. Please get mama a calcuim supplement when you take her to the vet. They will drain her calcuim supplies. it is very dangerous. Congratulations. |
Congratulations. I'm so happy to hear they are all doing well :) |
congrats on that nice big litter...think of all that puppy love you're gonna be getting...... |
3 Attachment(s) So one day gone already. pups are doing fine. Lost a tad bit of weight today. I made sure they were all feeding. How do I know if mom has enough milk. I am supplimenting with milk and got some Nutripet today from the vets. They go in tomorrow for tails/claw and checkups. Some more pics attached as I can't resist. |
Where in Canada are you located? If you do not mind me asking? |
Any Puppies?? How are things on your end?? Hope all is ok!! |

Good evening, Back from vets. All seems ok. Not the best but ok. Angel is low on milk. Vet thinks as there is 7 of them, the few larger greeder ones empty her before the smaller ones. Not much of a weight gain but I will be bottle feeding them at least 6 times a day. Nails/tails were done today. I think I fussed more them then. OK, I almost cried. Poor things. Back at home now. Angel is cleaning them all up. Will post more pics soon. |
