Sassy is doing great, taking wondrful care of her babies! I am not planning on keeping any, but who knows? It is hard to not get attached:) , but if they can go to wonderful homes like Milli, makes it much easier:D Just took this pic, 1 week old yesterday, weights between 8 and 11 ozs. already, but they are taking more breaks between feedings now, anyhow! |
Awwww:wub: what a great picture!!!! |
2 weeks old already! 2 Attachment(s) Well, it's been a rough few days here, as my little boy puppy suddenly stopped gaining weight. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with him, so I have just been trying to get food into him anyway possible. Of course, the big girls just push him out of their way to eat, so I have finally got him to drink from a medicine dropper, yea! :) After a couple of days of him not showing any interest at all, he is finally sucking it down. I'm also getting him to eat from mom, by sneaking a couple of girls away at a time, I have to be careful cause if she sees me, she gets upset and won't feed anyone:D I also want to thank everyone for all the suggestions! I also searched and was reading everything I could find, the goats milk is what really did it, the other stuff just did not seem to agree with him at all. As of today, weights are between 7.5 oz and just over 1 lb., heres a couple pics. Martha |
My Lexie had a litter of 4 almost 5 weeks ago now...at 4 wks three of them weighed in at just about 2lbs and the other one little girl was a bit behind them at 1 lb 9 oz. I was a little concerned about her too and watched carefully that she got enough to eat. She's still the smallest, but is doing wonderfully and I don't worry about her so much anymore! |

OMG! Those chubby little ones are just so cute! Have you named them all yet? I'm glad the lil' boy is doing better now!!! Keep the pictures coming, Martha!! |
Sassy's puppies update 4 Attachment(s) Well, the puppies will be 5 weeks old tomorrow, so thought I would take some pics. Not easy to get them all to sit and pose that's for sure. Although, we did lose the little boy, the 4 girls are doing wonderful. Mom is still feeding them, but they also starting to eat puppy food. They are little butterballs right now, all weighing between 1 lb. 6 oz and 1 lb. 13 oz. :aimeeyork Martha and crew |
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I'm MELTING! I remember when Milli looked like that!!! They are sooooo adorable! The first one-she's my favorite, and so is the last one...wait, they are ALL my favorites! Do you have names for any of them? Sooooooooooooooo cute! |
Oh, I am so sorry the little boy didn't make it:( , but your four little 5 week olds are darling and just getting to that fun playful age. Lexie's four are 7 weeks old now and they just play and play. We run out of energy chasing them out of places they shouldn't go before they tire out.:D |
I'm sorry to hear you lost the lil boy. How sad. The girls all look great! I can't wait till mine are that big!!!! |
They are so darling..I love their dark little faces. Is mommy or daddy dark? |
Sorry about the lil boy.....how heart breaking.... |
This is when they do start to get to be alot of fun, as they are starting to play alot with each other and toys! No, I haven't named any of them myself, but the first little girl has been named Sophie by her new mommy who came over today to see them. She will be joining an older brother from Milli and Mia's litter. I just call them all cutie pies, LOL Mom is one of the darker yorkies, while daddy is lighter, so it will be interesting to see how these guys turn out, color wise ;) thank you all for your kind words on our loss of our little boy |
