How to Upload Photos from an iPad
 

This will explain how to upload photos, not just a link, using your iPad. First, I recommend getting the Photobucket application and installing it on iPad. You can use your regular Photobucket account if you have one, or create a new account. The Photobucket application allows you to upload pictures from your iPad, by either choosing “existing pictures” or choosing camera. It then sends these straight to you Photobucket account.

Next select “My albums” on the photobucket application and choose a picture you would like to post on Yorkietalk. Press towards the bottom of the page, and you will see a little italicized “i” on the lower right hand side of the page. See picture: Attachment 371415 Press that and you will see options of web addresses to use depending upon where you want to post it. If you would like it to show up as a picture and not just as a link on the regular YorkieTalk forum put your finger on the “Direct” address, and it will allow you to copy that address. Next open the Yorkietalk window and open “manage attachments. There are two ways to do this, by clicking the little paper clip icon above the message pad. See picture: Attachment 371416 Or you can scroll past the message pad and look for the words “Manage attachments", and click on that. The paper clip icon has the advantage of allowing you to put the pictures wherever you want in the thread by clicking it again and inserting the attachments where you want. Otherwise they will just show up at the bottom of the page.

Paste the address where it says "Upload File from a URL" See picture: Attachment 371417 Then press "upload". Your picture should show up as a picture instead of a link. You can upload 4 pictures to each post, but you have to do it one at a time. If you want to upload more than 4 pictures just post that reply and make a new reply.

Another option is pasting pictures on the profile pages, for this, you would use the “IMG” address, just put you finger over that slot and it will automatically copy. To paste, just put you finger over the message board and release and you should see the word “paste” click on that. The IMG address only works on profile pages, and the direct address works on the rest of the forum. Hope this helps!

Okay I got it to paste using the URL And that works. But when I tried to do the manage account one from photobucket it said image to large any ideas. And thanks for this information

Yorkietalk only allows a photo up to 200 kb's, so maybe the photo you are trying to upload is too big? Click on a photo and it will list some options. See picture: Attachment 371418 Under the X is the word, "resize". Choose the largest size they offer which is 640 x 480 which is about 6 x 8 inches. That is large enough to see and well within Yorkietalk size limits.

On the picture on photobucket? I don't see it on there

Yes, you select the picture you want, click on it and then when it's the only picture on the page you touch the screen again and a menu comes up above the picture. Don't choose edit, you need "flash" to do that, choose "resize."

No, iPad doesn't use flash so don't choose edit, choose resize. It will give you a few sizes to pick from, choose the largest.

Mine does not have that options. I see it on your photo but can not get it to show up on mine Hmmmm I will figure this out :)

You know how you just have to touch it, it seems to be sensitive on how long you hold the touch. I'm new to the iPad, so I can't give too much advice. This might be another option. Here's a free application and it edits your photos. You can resize them with this application and then upload them to photobucket. App Store - PhotoPad by ZAGG

Okay that may work. I will work with it more tomorrow. The other way works so that is great. I always turn my laptop on to load pictures. It will be great to do it this way. Thanks so much for the information. I love sharing pictures :)

I give up// I have done everything/ I contacted shutterfly and they told me that it can be done on a regular computer cannot resize a photo on the ipad

Use photobucket not shutterfly.
