Has anyone bought from this breeder? :rolleyes: I am getting ready to purchase a Yorkie from Kim Brock aka. Wagin' Tails Yorkies from Henrietta, Texas. Has anyone purchased or dealt with her in any way? She seems to be pretty good so far. Just wanted to check. This is her website www.yorkieluv.com I am getting Diesel. He is on the puppy page. He is a cutey! I think that I had sent her an e-mail a month ago about her pups. I go up through Henrietta when I go home and had inquired about a pup. Never made it up that way, though. She does have lovely pups. |
Dogs Thanks! I really like Maverick and Trigger too. They are still a bit young though and a little much for me price wise. |
I haven't had any dealing with her either. How in the world did you choose? They are all so cute! Is his name going to stay Diesel or are you changing it? I think that is adorable for a little guy. |

Insurance??? I was originally going to get another from her and I was wishy washy about it and he ended up getting sold to someone else. I had seen Diesel before and liked him best, but he was priced a lot higher. When she posted her new batch of pups Diesel's price came down, I guess to try to make room. So I decided not to let him go and I got him. He is flying into San Antonio on Thursday morning! I cannot wait to get him. I will probably keep his name Diesel. He is already almost 8 months old so I am sure he knows it by now. By the way, does anyone know where I can get insurance on him? I am serious about this. I have had the worst luck w/my male dogs that I have bought! I have never spent this kind of money on a dog and probably won't ever again and I would hate for something unfortunate to happen to this guy. |
I like him. He is cute. I like his little ears. I think Mya looks like a bunny at times *grin* Why do some breeders have older puppies for sale? Could the puppy have been returned? |
Diesel She claims to be selling him for a friend. Like I said, she had him listed for quite a bit more for a while. I do not know if they were hanging on to him to possibly keep and then decided against it, or if nobody wanted to pay his original list price. What I have come across with these older dogs is that the breeder sees something special in him or her and hangs on to the pup to see if they might want to keep it for their own breeding program. Maybe that is just wishful thinking :confused: . I hope that is it and that there is nothing wrong with him? She is taking him for his vet check today. He has to be checked for health before he can fly. She is supposed to call me with a clean bill of health this evening. I have kept all of our e-mails and any other correspondance...just in case. Hopefully all will work out. I will let you all know on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed for me...please. :p |
Beth, I am very excited for you. I know that you have been looking for a small male for quite some time. Now, when you register him with AKC, he will come with a 30 day insurance plan. If you want to keep the plan, you just have to purchase it after that. Please keep us updated on Diesel and post picts as soon as you get him home! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!! |

Dewey looks much better in the head and his color is more correct. I cant see his conformation but its must be better than diesel as his lower spin looks a little rounded? The male i have is very correct if you want to take a look I'm trying to email you photo's but darn upload is being a pain. |

BUster Wow!!! I wondered who got Buster! He was the main reason why I ever called her. I really, really liked him. I guess you had already sent the deposit when I had called because she still had him when I first called. How is he? Any recent photos? Who are his parents? I would really like to know all this being that you seem to be the most recent buyer that has responded on Yorkie Talk. When Buster was gone, Jud was my next prospect. I just couldn't make up my mind. It is so hard to buy a pup sight unseen, and e-mail photos can be deceiving. So let me know all about him if you do not mind. Did she ship him or did you pick him up? |
Hi! So you the other couple who was interested in Buster! LOL! He is a riot!! He is so small, 2.28 lbs at 16 weeks! He did have a cold, but it cleared up fine. He's a sweetie. Super confident and naughty, LOL. I think Kim tried to give him a haircut herself cuz he has a bad haircut.....he's so wiggly though! He's going through the ganglies right now where he looks awkward, but that may be due to his haircut, LOL.....he looks nappy, LOL. Anyhow his ears are tipping forward now, last week they were perfect. I think it's because he's teething and the hair is growing long on the ears. Other than that, he's a cutie pie. I dropped my didgital camera at the airport when I got him. I totally was shocked how tiny he was!! So I have to fugure out how to take pics with my digital video camera. I'll get on that. Nice to meet you! :D |

Ahhhhh :( Okay Guys, guess what? It seems that Deisel has a LP on his right knee. She has given me the option to take another male at the same price I paid for Diesel(Trigger or Maverick)- both of which I like the look. What should I do? Should I request a refund or take one of these little guys. She took both of them in when she found out about Diesel's knee and they both have sound knees and testicals are descended on both. I like the pups- Maverick especially, I just do not know what to do. I have requested photos of Mom and Dad and more photos of the pups. All I have seen is what is on her website. HELP...Please! |

Well, I'm not sure but isn't LP genetic? If it is, are these other males littermates? Just because the other 2 have sound knees doesn't mean that they could pass that trait on to their offspring. Something to think about. :( |
Different Parents Yes according to the research it is hereditary. No these other 2 pups are from a different litter (different parents). Diesel was from her friend's 2 dogs. You are right though about it being genetic. |
Im so sorry that Diesel was Dx with LP. Poor little guy. If you still feel comfortable in getting a pup from her and you like one of the other pups go for it. I understand is hard to give Diesel the special care he is going to need now that he has being Dx with LP. I know of others pups that are doing great after surgery, but if you dont have that kind of money is best that you don't get him. If he was already a part of your life I know you will do anything he need it. Dont feel bad if you dont get Diesel. There is the perfect home for him out there that have the financial capacity to give him the best care. Please let us know your decision. Good luck. I will have little Diesel in my prayers. |
