Wanted: Yorkie pup w/under 3 lbs. adult weight Hi all, Don't know how I got here, but I'm glad I did :D Been looking for a Yorkie, male or female, with a "babydoll" face (not "teddy), and an estimated adult weight of less than 3 pounds. Will consider a puppy up to 8 or 10 months old. Prefer lap-lover, cuddler, "little shadow", kissy-face" personality with yet enough puppy in them to be a sibling to our "hyper", tomboy, almost 11 month old Yorkie (female & spayed) who bonded with Daddy. Need shipping via Continental Airlines "PetSafe" only to Michigan. Hope to hear from anyone who can help! Thanks all, JR |
email me about a female yorkie 3 lbs. msbabygirl4u@yahoo.com |
3lb. Female Go to the Houston Chronicle (Newspaper)- Make your way to classifieds. There is an ad in there under Yorkies and Maltese. This guy claims to have some extremely wonderful dogs. He is very selective as to who he will sell to and he is a bit pricey- but for a female that small you will pay a pretty penny. I think you'll have to type Yorkies in the search bar on the site. If it does not come up then try Yorkie. He does not ship and is from Northern Louisiana. If he cannot help you go to www.yorkiepup.com |
I said "male or female" Quote:

Sorrry! Gee, I did not mean to offend. Sounds like you're having a bad day. First of all you requested a dog under 3lbs. Second of all I directed you to someone who I knew had a 3 lb. female (you did say male or female...right?). Third, I did not intend that your dog was "cheap" or "free", I could care less. I just wanted you to know that this guy charges a lot for his dogs. Sorry for the heads up. My mistake that I overlooked the fact that you could not travel to get a dog. A simple "I stated I cannot travel" would suffice rather than biting my head off! Finally, how should I have known that you contacted the mentioned web site before? I have never done business w/him, I have only seen his site and that he has male and female yorkies for sale under 3 lbs that he will ship. Here is an idea- go back to bed and wake up with a better additude. People will be much more willing to help. Once again I was not in any way intending to be rude when I said that the guy asks a lot for his dogs. Most people, including myself, drop their jaws when they see dogs priced for 4000.00 and up. The guy apparently has some pretty nice dogs that he is proud of, but they are a bit EXPENSIVE to me. |
geeze!veselka, to me you did not in any way say anything bad. |

Thanks Jesscruz. I felt the same way. I have never intended to be rude or offend anyone on this site, nor have I ever been offended by anyone on this site. Some of these new people are just plain rude at times :( . |
Here is an earlier thread with ideas on how to acheive a smaller adult yorkie. Good luck in your search. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9159 |
Good grief! No need to be so rude! She was simply trying to help. We can try to find the right pup if you want some help. Lot's of breeders post here and of course all the rest of us had to get our yorkies somewhere. So I'm sure there is enough knowledge and resources here to find that particular pup. But not if you bite everyone's head off. Shall we try again? |

Thanks Thanks Natasha. I have looked at his site tons of times!!! I had thought about doing business with him a time or two. I think I can speak for all of us here when I say that we appreciate your help!!! It is hard enough to find a quality dog at a reasonable price, but when we have to deal with fraud too, it really puts a bad taste in your mouth for the whole pup search. |
You did nothing wrong! Do not feel bad1 |
Same as before If my reply was construed as rude because I chose to use numbered (bulleted) responses, I take pride in knowing that it was my own choice to do so in order to facilitate an intelligent response (English 101). It is also worth noting that rude people don’t end with a “Thanks anyway”. It’s nice to know that the intent of my posting, even though generalized, was well received and understood by several people who neither misread my grammatically correct posting, nor were intimidated by my white-collar professionalism. I will respond to you shortly as requested via e-mail. If my request for assistance in this forum goes nowhere on my behalf, I will at least find consolation in knowing that I would never refer someone to a breeder I know nothing about. Hopefully, in my reply, I have helped at least one person who would, unwittingly, do business with the aforementioned breeder, and save them the pain endured by the ownership of one of his sick puppies as is chronicled in several other forums. Needless to say, I also would not refer anyone to the classified section of a newspaper that is 2,000 miles away from a person's stated location. I will go no further to perpetuate the feeling of seniority extrapolated over the difference of a 2 month period of time. Inferiority complexes are better left to professional forums that can contribute whatever positive and constructive comments may be required. Therefore, that subject to me is moot, and pardon me for digressing. In this forum I have found a couple of excellent breeders I have personally corresponded with. Unfortunately, it has been to no avail since they could not help me at this time. I still feel that I am better served within this country’s boundaries, and hope to find my “perfect companion” soon. Again, “thanks anyway”. :D |
