Wanting Female Baby On East Coast
 

Here's the story:

Theres this girl I like that I've known for a couple years, and her 21st birthday is coming up. Every year I ask her what she wants, and she tells me an item that is "impossible" to get, and every year I have suceeded (tickets to a show, Tickle Me Elmo Anniversary Edition, etc.) So this year I asked her, what she wants, and she tells me the same thing every year, that its not my job to buy her gifts, i never listen tho :p, but she did hint, she wants a yorkie and their "impossible" to find.

So now the race is on, I'm in search for a female yorkie around 5 months or less. 3-4 lbs grown. I need stats on the weight of the parents, pics would be appreciated if possible!

Here's the catch: I'm still in school, so I dont have alot of money to throw around. I dont want to sound like a begger but I have a budget of $600 to spend.

However the good news is I'm willing to drive up to 15 hours away from NJ to unite this girl and pup to be happy for the rest of their lives. So if you live anywhere on the east coast or as far as Chicago and have a big heart :love: , please get in touch with me via PM, cell phone or email ASAP.

P.P.S.: I tried searching various websites, but so far I've ran into 1 Missionary from Africa, 1 Government Worker from West Africa, and a gentleman who claims he's from NC, with a TX cell phone number but calls me from California.

For a yorkie on the east coast 600 wont get you far.. And like me you have run into alot of scammers. Personally I wouldn't give animals as presents.. If you know that she is responsible and will take care of the furbaby that thats probably an exception.. Make sure you stay away from pet stores.. Also the AKC website has breeders listed.. YTCA.org too.

I know your heart is in the right place, but I think a dog is something you need to pick out for yourself. It's something that should be with you for the rest of your life. Maybe you can tell her you have the money and together you can find a reputable breeder.

She's raised a Yorkie before, so shes familiar with the breed. Her sister used to have one until she got in a divorce, and the husband took the dog. I appreciate the help.

I agree with the previous posters. I know she might want a yorkie, but I one hundred percent believe an animal shouldn't be given as a gift... even if the recipient wants one. It should be a decision that is really thought through by both the gift giver and receiver.

If you are still going to go ahead and buy her a yorkie.. I would try to consider one that is a little older so that you can buy from a responsible breeder and still stay within your price range. A 7-9 month old yorkie is still very much a puppy and will likely be less expensive.

What about rescues? I doubt they will adopt out a yorkie as a gift though, so maybe she could go through the process, and you could pay for it? Just a suggestion.

I agree, a pet is such a personal choice you really shouldn't do this. Remember a yorkie can live 15 years so she needs to be 100% positive she can take on that responsibility.

How about buying her a cute stuffed animal Yorkie with a note attached telling her how you feel about her and with an IOU for her to pick out her own Yorkie when the time is right. If there is a budget, she can then check out rescue. I was just on petfinder.com and came across a beautiful Snorkie (Mix of Schauzer and Yorkie) she's a little bigger then you wanted @ 7 lbs. but truthfully, even buying a puppy NO ONE can guarantee how small or big your pup will get. I have a Yorkie whose parents were very small and yet she's a bit bigger then they are. She was supposed to be around 3.5 lbs. and she's prob. going to be around 7 pounds. Good Luck. Elaine

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the kind words. I should've reworded what i wrote, the puppy isnt a surprise birthday gift, she knows I'm looking for one for her. Her mom just had a tumor removed yesterday, so shes been occupied. So I'm lending a helping hand trying to find a yorkie for her. I send her pics/stats of the dogs via phone and then she gives me feedback. Unfortunately, most of the dogs have turned out to be scams.

I cant seem to edit my original post regarding age, 7-9 month will be fine also.

I never said I was rejected, we started out friends, and I recently started liking her. And yes, I did search thru the forum, but seems like everyone's asking price is out of my price range. :(

also you are going to have a harder time finding a female that price than a male.

Sounds like you've been trying to buy her affection, and it hasn't been working since you have liked her for a couple of years now and still aren' t in a relationship.
If she wants a yorkie, she should look for one herself since she has certain particular requirements.

Who said anything about being rejected? We started out friends, and I recently took a liking for her. I did browse thru the forum, but as you stated above, my asking price is just not high enough.
