Wanted: Larger size adult female
 
Hey, I am looking for an AKC adult female, any color is fine, with a nice silky coat, weighing 7-8 pounds, she will be an inside pet and breeder, I have no females right now and my male is an AKC Blue & Gold, weighing 8 1/2 pounds. I live in Kannapolis, NC.

HI, i'm from paris, IL. and am in search of a large female too.. at least 7 to 8 pds.. I have a male that is 5pds.. I wish you luck.. and if you hear of any in my area I hope to hear from you.. jenny

I wish you luck i have been looking for a female to breed my 6lb male with for 2 months with no luck...everyone thinks he is a giant

HI, I adore my maggie she is 8 pounds.. her mom was a whooping 13pds.. she gave me 8 pups her 4th litter and 9 her next.. she was akc beautiful yorkie.

the small yorkies are adorable too.. my cody is small to me.. and with 3 grandkids around full time.. a smaller yorkie wouldn't have a chance..

besides i've learn the smaller the yorkie female.. the more chance of c-section..and i just don't want to put a female through that..

Did she give you 8lb. pups or 8 pups? Has to be pounds. I raise Dachshunds and they weigh 7-11 pounds and I like that size of dog. My male Yorkie is 8 pounds and looks small too me. All dogs are a little plump! You can't see my ribs, so why should I see theirs? LOL!

I beleive I have found the dog I'm looking for. She's 7 pounds and just starting to turn her silver color. She's 17 months and never been breed. She's an only pet. Her name is Zoe. I only saw her puppy pictures so I can't wait to see her on Friday! The lady never turned in her AKC application and lost it, so that's not good but I can live with that. She comes with her beds, crate, toys and grooming supplies. :D :aimeeyork

Wow congrats that didnt take long.....i like you dont think its too big a deal that no akc just want a female puppy doesnt matter wouldnt even matter if it was a mix

Hi guys. I have a female 4 mo. Yorkie puppy that weighs around 4 pounds already. I am sure she will weigh 6-8 pounds as an adult. She is very cute & I am willing to ship her. I live in Texas. I could email photos of anyone interested. She is AKC reg, microchipped, and loves other kids/dogs. I am asking $1000 for her shipping included.

Well first off, everyone here already knows I'm selling Gizmo(my 8 pound Yokie) and not breeding him. He's listed for sale on this site. and a 8-9 pound Yorkie is not fat or overgrown, just not in the AKC standard. Get your facts straight. I'm not $$$ motivated, have never even breed a Yorkie. But if I was to breed two 8-9 pound AKC Yorkies and advertised them as so and sell them for $200, I'm sure LOTS of people would be interested and wouldn't mind them being 2 pounds over AKC standard to save them a $1000. The only reason this post is still up is because I can't delete it. Obiviously your new here and don't know what's really going on. :confused:

Maggie is 4 months and 4 lbs. I am hoping that she will be a lot bigger. It wouldn't bother me at all if she weighed 10lbs. I live in the country, with a lot of hawks. So more weight on the ground would be in our favor. Her mother was a fair size, but daddy was a squirt. Hopefully she will take after her mom.

Sounds very sensible to me - the bigger yorkies are gorgeous and much hardier then the tiny ones. Also I don't think camarolynn73's dogs sound fat at all.

It is no different than people breeding their "micro" yorkie & then charging high $ for them. The dogs are so small they shouldn't be bred in the first place. I actually like my dogs bigger since I have 3 kids. A friend of mine had a "micro", and her daughter dropped it & broke it's neck & it died. Not everyone likes the same thing.

I understand this is just your opinion and here is mine it is very rude to call someone's dog FAT its like calling a person fat you just dont do it...toby is not fat at 6 lbs and neither are any of these other dogs. so if you just plan on being negative please rethink it.

That's just plain rude! My Nala is 12lbs and she isn't fat! She just ins't within the breed standards. Some yorkies are just bigger than others and there's alot of them on the forum. Browniemom has a beautiful yorkie that ways 19lbs and he is one of the cutest yorkie babies I've ever seen. You shouldn't a say a yorkie is fat just because their not the size of a mouse! (No offense to those of you that have smaller yorkie, I love them all!)

I agree, it kind of made me feel bad at first, but I see where she's coming from about breeding out of the standard. which I am not going to do. I am a Mini Dachshund breeder, and all my adults are 11 pounds and under. (that's mini dachshund standards). It was just a thought, that was short lived. Ya'll can see my Dachshunds if ya like: www.dachshundbabies.com and I sell my puppies for $300, so obviously I'm not $$$motived as stated. I may get to spend a little of the profits but you can bet at least 80% goes right back to my dogs. :)
