Looking for male yorkie puppy in Virginia I'm looking for a male puppy ready around the middle of June Anyone know of any? |
i can tell you by my experience, there are no reptuable breeders i have found in virginia. i have gotton screwed twice. one of my babies i don't think is a purebred eventhough she has papers, she has short hair....it never grew. then with my boy, they said he would not get bigger than 4-5lbs ....well he is a whopping 12lbs. i have search and search for a reputable breeder and did find one but not in va. there are a lot of good breeders on this site that will ship. you may want to try sugar'smom....i think she has two boys. she is in ky but her babies are adorable. also she will ship. some people here on yt have adopted some of her babies and are very pleased. |
Thanks, Lisa. I am really not allowed to say anything about my guys on THIS forum since I am a featured breeder as far as what's available and etc but thank you for recommending me. The first yorkie I ever sold, Buttercup, is in Virginia. |

I have a litter out of my UKC champion Connor that was born April 10th, they will be ready to go around the first week of June. They will have a year health guarantee, at least 2 sets of shots, and I can provide references if desired. |

i didn't know you were a breeder. that is good to know. you are right that i should not bash the whole state. that is wrong of me but i was so frustrated w the poor quality of yorkies it just disgusting. don't get me on this subject....errrrrrr again i am sorry |
ohhhhhh i guess the hint to you being a breeder is on your signature line...ooops i tend to read the post and not pay attention to sign lines or where someone is from. i guess i should pay more attention i am going to look at your website now |
ok...i saw ladyhawk whippets but not your site. how do i get there |
I don't have a website up yet but do need to work on that this summer. Actually the more shows that I attend the more quality yorkies I discover in this state. Granted it is hard to find a major here but Georgette is working on putting one together for the memorial day cluster in Hampton. My hometown club will be sponsoring 2 days of it and I will be showing Connor. Don't know if we can beat Georgette's beauties but we're gonna try. Laurie and I will also be showing in a UKC show in Chesterfield this coming weekend. You should come to one and meet us. It's important to get to know the exhibitors and breeders in your state as we should all support each other. I don't know about you but I'm tired of having to ship to get a new pup. I'm looking for a show gal now and would love to get one of Caraneals but I need to earn her trust first. You're forgiven, hope to meet up with you at a show! |

The show in Hampton runs Fri. May 25- Mon. May 28th. It is at the Hampton Rds. Convention Center, right next to the Coliseum. It's being put on by Gloucester and Langley Kennel Clubs. I attended last year and there was about 7 yorkies but as I said Georgette will be bringing her's this year. She's well enough known that she will either drum up enough dogs for a major ( in this state you need at least 9 male for a 3 point major if I remember correctly) or she will scare away all of the competition. We had a nice showing in Frederickburg right before Easter, she brought her special and a 12-18 month class bitch. She was beaten by an unknown ( at least to me) bitch in the class. Connor took his class but acted like a clown after that. PM me and give me your number if you decide to attend, that way we can meet up. |
You can also go to luck.org. They also have a list of breeders in Virginia as well as everywhere else that are members of the ytca. Good luck in your search. |
