if this puppy weighed over four pounds this morning, she is going to weigh about eight pounds and some more. there is a yorkie growth chart at www.yorkiepassion.com that will help you estimate the adult size. good luck in selling her.

I have always heard x's 2 @ the 12-16 wk weight so probably at least 6 maybe up to 7 lbs. With in the standard. Do you have pics?

I may have missed something...Does this pup weigh 3lbs or over 4lbs at 12wks. The listing says 3 but I get the impression its 4+? Someone interested would want the correct weight. Can someone clarify. Thank you.

Here I go nit picking...but I have noticed the incorrect use of the term..Grand champion sired...

A Grand champion is a champion who has won BOB in 3 benched shows..impressive wins.
If a puppies GRANDFATHER is a champion, then the correct term to use is...Champion GRAND sire. IF the GRANDMOTHER is a champion, then it is Champion Grand Dam..

Determining the final weight of a puppy also has to do with the lines they come from. I have 2 girls, one a Champion that at the age of 4 months weighed 5 pounds, guess what she topped out at 6 1/2 pounds, went to 7 on both of her litters and is now back to 6 1/2 pounds. Her daughter weighed 5 pounds at the same age, as did her mother.....I have another girl, that at 1 year weighed 3 1/2 pounds, then did her growth spurt, she is now 6 pounds, leggy and not an ounce of fat on her. I still say the only thing that you can depend on this Yorkie breed, is they can make a liar out of you.

For only 12 weeks old, she looks like a big girl. Also her ears should have been totally up at this age. Not a good idea for anyone to buy this puppy unless they go see her in person.

Thats a pet puppy being offered at a really reasonable price. So whats the problem here, this forum allows for posting pups for sale and yet the members here just really blast away so cruely to almost everyone who posts, you don't like this term or that term or the tiny size or even the big size etc.
Yorkies come in different sizes and this person is placing a pup at a price that is very reasonable for its looks.
Just a shame that someone can't post and the people interested in a pup be the ones who reply instead of all this internet bullying. :thumbdown

i think this is a new breeder because he didn't have a clue about shaving ears. I bought this gal's littermate. His ears were down in pictures but looked very small. Cutie pie told larry to shave his ears and he did. I immediately taped them up when i got him and they are standing already. AND gals, just so you know, the GRANDSIRE and nearly everything else on the pedigree are champions This is the Crosswinds line. grandsire on mama's side is Ch. Crosswind's Custom Imprint and on the dad's side it is that Le Chaz dog. I don't have my pedigree in front of me right now. This is a big girl tho. My little guy only weighed 2.3 when I took him to the vet the day after I got him.

Its ok.....everyone likes different things....
 

...I agree with an earlier post......this little girl may slow down growing......and she may end up being 6-7 pounds......and that should NOT be too big for the majority of us.....it really depends on what size her ancestors were.....

This is a pet qualtiy puppy, offered for a pet quality price..seems fair to me. If the puppy has seen the vet and comes with a health check, guarantee , outgoing, well adjusted, then why the fuss? This same type puppy is offered on many breeders sites for 3 times the price...$800 is fair IMO.

Just to add, some puppies put on weight very quickly, due to mother's having alot of very rich milk.....So, puppies can be milk fat and stable out as they go on regular food and become more active. As a breeder/exhibitor, I love 6 - 7 pound dogs......

Who is fussing? I have only seen one post where someone said not to buy this puppy and that should not have been said. Again, I have her litter mate and am VERY well pleased and his ears have gone up in just two days after i got him. he is much smaller than this dog tho. i can also tell you I paid more than eight hundred dollars for him, too. I guess because she is so big. i don't know and don't really care. I had the money, i wanted the pup and was willing to pay what was asked.

I think people are thinking there is fussing about the size of the pup, but what SugarsMom was referring to in her first post was that I had already inquired about that pup and he had sent me an email stating she weighed 4 lbs 3 oz and was 12 weeks old....which made her bigger than what was posted in the 4 sale thread. No fussing. She's an adorable pup, just bigger than what I was looking for. :D

To 5 He Has Gotton Pictures From All Who Have Ever Bought From Him He Has Really Nice Dogs I Have Seen The Grandparents To These Puppies(crosswind Kennels) And They Are Champion Dogs As Are The Greatgrandparents

No bashing here......I was in fact still waiting for the Pedigree to be sent to me, considering the champion background...I was excited to see it......but, I am very pleased that this little girl went to a home with kids.....that is exactly what I was thinking while talking to Larry.....


I reread the postings....and feel that everyone was pretty civilized in their responses......they all agreed that Larry was asking a fair price for a pet.....and the best thing is.............she will be loved and having a blast with the family she is going to.......

Also, maybe Larry can become a frequent member here now......I would love to get to know him better.....::welcome4: :friendsh: , who knows, he may want to sell his next litter here......you never know....
