pups Accidental Maltese/Yorkie breeding..accidental Chi/Yorkie breeding. I hope somebody is starting to wise up...breeding is a big responsibility. Putting a precious bitch through gestation, whelping and raising a litter..then selling the bitches pups for $200 is ashame...ask more so you can spay and neuter ALL these little dogs. |
yorkiemaltese If you are calling my baby Baylee a breeding bitch you are way out of line i did not breed her it was accidental an i don't own nothing but a yorkie i was keeping a friends pet while she was gone to a funeral she thaught he had nuetered im not in the habit of going around feeling dog testicles when she told me he was nuetered i took her at her word , i was responsible an found homes for them an my furdaughter has been taken care of an as far as how much her puppies were adopted out at is none of your concern i had them wormed and shots upto date from the day they left my house i am very responsible for my pets an i have no use for people who do not take care of their pets. |
Accidental breeding happens everyday. Just because a dog is mixed it doesn't mean the the dog is any less precious than a purebred. I have a mixed breed dog and he is the love of my life. It offends me to no end when people talk about mixed breed dogs being worthless. Memphis is the most precious little thing on this earth to me and I wouldn't trade him for anything in this world. I would starve before he went hungry. And I would sleep in the rain or snow before he would. Just like the pup that I am getting from Redneckwomans friend. I dont care if it is a yorkie mix. I am happy that it has yorkie in it because I love the breed but I will not love it any less because it is a mix. I will treasure that pup just as I do Memphis. I have grown to know Redneckwoman more than almost anyone here and I have found that she loves her dogs very much. I dont think actually I know that she would not intentionally breed her little furbaby out of being irresponsable. It was an accident as she said. She is a wonderful loving person just as many people are here and she loves her furkids as much as I love mine. |
I've seen mixed dogs sell more than some purebreds because they are mixed with the favor of two breeds. I've seen Yorkie/Maltese or Morkies go for as much as $1500 because of the size, coloring and temperament. I don't think they are any less worth it than purebreds. I have a purebred Mini Schnauzer that the breeder should not have bred, she is AKC registered and yet she's 20lbs!!! (I think one of her parents was a standard schnauzer). She's huge!! We got her fixed. I have 2 male yorkie/maltese they are 3.5 and 3lbs fully grown, both parents are AKC registered. They are just as precious if not more than any purebreds I have or have seen. I don't think they are any less worthy just cause they don't have AKC papers...but then I am partial to them :) My 2 cents on this is basically AKC registered doesn't mean they are superior to a dog that is mixed or doesn't have papers. |
I agree with daisysmom and ReconsMomma. I am not a breeder but I know that no matter how careful you are, accidents can still happen. And on that note, as far as I am concerned, mixed breeds are worth just as much as a purebred. There are poorly bred purebreds out there that are registered, and there are some healthy mixed breeds. I am not saying that mixed breeds dont have halth problems or anything, but to me, mixed breeds are just as special as a purebred. I have had several "mutts" in my life and only one had problems (it was viscious [sp?]) The others were some of the best dogs I have ever had. It doesn't matter if the dog is purebred or a mix, each dog is just as special as the next. So if you have something against mixed breeds, GET OVER IT! I dont think people should deliberately breed mixes because there are so many mutts in pounds and rescues, but if accidents happen, the puppies should be sold for as much as the breeder wants because they are worth just as much as a purebred. This is my opinion and I hope I didn't offend anyone. I just thought I would elt it all out! LOL |

Well said. To me the AKC registration is just an expensive piece of paper. But that is my opinion. I can see where it would be valued and is when it comes to showing and breeding but as for a companion animal mixes are great too. I also see nothing wrong with people breeding and selling thier pups cheap with no papers so that everyone can afford a pup as long as the people know what they are doing and the pups are healthy. I do not agree with people that breed just to make money though. |
