Yeaaaaaaa Hi Everyone, :) Sorry I haven't responded back sooner, been really busy here. My husband bought a present for me at Christmas and just found out! I have a Morkie, but that is still exciting:) He is a male, born Dec 1st and we went to see him today and he is precious! I would post his picture but don't know how :( I will probably get him around the 20th if he is eating good. I can\'t wait to go shopping!!! yeaaaaaaa Thanks Sapphire43 |
Sapphire. You could check out Petfinder.com and do a search for a Yorkie in or around your area and you can also go to puppymillrescue.com. Puppymill rescue takes in dogs from puppymills. The best part about both is that the dogs are vettted, spayed and neutered before being place so you not only save money on that part, but also you know the dog is healthy or otherwise stated and you\'d be doing a great thing in giving a dog a second chance. Many of the dogs on both sites are still young under a year old. The adoption fee through the rescues usually run around $350 - $400. Hope you find your friend. Elaine |
Saphire. I didn\'t read the above posts before posting mine. LOL. Big congrats on your Morkie. I have a Morkie too. She\'s in my Avatar and if you go to the gallery and look under jrsygal37 you\'ll see more pictures of her. I absolutely adore my little girl as I\'m sure you will too. I\'m also mom to three other babies which are full Yorkies. I found my Morkie to be calmer then my other three, not sure if it\'s the Maltese in her or not as I\'ve never owned a Maltese at any rate she is a GREAT dog who potty trained really quick. We have her wee wee pad trained as she\'s only a bit over 3 lbs. She\'s almost a year old now. We got her out of our local newspaper when the previous owner decided that she wasn\'t for her. We were lucky as she was already spayed and had her shots. Please post pictures I\'d love to see them. Elaine |
jrsygal37, Awwww she is precious!.I am so glad you had a pic as I wasn\'t sure what mine would look like..I seen both parents and i have to say the daddy is a knock out Yorkie. He is gorgeous. This puppy stage will be a first for me as I never raised a puppy just have a Chiuaua and a Malamute. Rescued them from pound. They are 7 and 10. Will probably be asking lots of questions! Nervous lol. Thanks Sapphire43 |
