Male yorkie puppy wanted under $500 in Chicago or IL
 
I am looking for a male yorkie puppy under $500 in the Chicago-land area or somewhere in Illinois, not too far from Chicago. Please let me know if you have one. Thanks.

Have you looked on Breeersnet.com or rescues? Yorkies in this area are usually a little more. I have seen some in the Suntimes for around that but you have to be careful that you are buying from a responsible breeder. I have been looking in the Chicago area for an older female, price isn't a factor and I can't find one.

Good luck with that one. A yorkie under $500 is practically a free yorkie

Yes, I have been looking in papers and things like that. But you just dont know who to trust now-a-days. I would speak to some that would sound like they didnt care and actually came across 3 that were scammers. I found their names in another puppy forum.

But i will try breedersnet.com and a few rescues in the area thanks.

Hey I gotta give it a try, what do I have to lose? It doesnt hurt just to check it out and see if I can get one under $500.

The last one I helpped raise was $1200 and it got so sick when we brought it home. Left it at the vet emergency room for 1 week. And had to pay crazy amounts in bills. So you can see why Im trying to get one for less money now.

Good luck with your search...I think anyone (decent) would be doing good to break even at that price.

BTW, just FYI in the rules section:cool:

Thanks for letting me know about the rules. Sorry I didnt think I was begging or whineing for an extreme reduced cost. If thats how it came off I apoligize. But thanks again for the heads up.

Thanks for the site. I've looked there before and actually had a friend purchase his yorkie from there. We had it shipped in on a plane, but I am trying to find something closer to Chicago. I hate the thought of a little puppy alone on a plane especially since they are so young. hehe.

All joking aside. I have 12 week old pups right now (2 of which are going home this weekend..yay) and on the pups alone, between having them screened healthwise, vaccinations, dew claws, tails, food alone, I've got over $200 into each one. (NOT that I am complaining.) Add in care for the mother, time off of work with them, etc...it gets costly.

I do hope you find the perfect pup--just what you are looking for. Not sure if you'd be interested, but have you tried looking for a rescue?

I don't think there was any begging going on. Keep your chin up Issa4you10...I have 2 small (4 pounds full grown) healthy males and I only paid $500.00 for one and $700.00 for the other so they are out there. Good luck finding yours!

when I got Kayah, her breeder had boys for $600.. interested? let me know, I'll PM you her phone number.. but when I got Kayah, she said she might be retiring soon.. so I'm not positive she's still breeding. Let me know if you're interested. Edith:)

Well I am actually in the beginning stages of looking. So I am getting ideas from a lot of different people which I think helps. I dont want to just jump on something. But in regards to your question on the rescue pups, I dont really know too much about getting a rescue. I will check it out though. Thanks.

I was looking to raise a puppy from a young age to kinda grow with the family.

Hehe Ill be sure to keep my chin up thanks. I know I've seen lower prices thats why I thought Id take a shot within Chicago or Illinois. I just hate the thought of a puppy on a plane :-(
