You couldn't advertise the other breeds here but as you can see having that many different breeds is a concern to some people, to others it is not. I, for one, would like to know and see nothing wrong with sharing the information with others that would also like to know. A well-informed buyer is a satisified buyer. |

Anyway, back to the pups. One of the earliest posts had asked about the parent's pictures. I took some this afternoon. Be mindful that they are not professionally done. Mia Ewok, the mom, has the gray backdrop. Bubba, the dad, has the greenery backdrop. Thanks, Teri:animal-pa |
The mom is 6 - 7 pounds and the father is 2 - 4 pounds?? :questione |

This was in the original post.. Dawn |
The pups' current weights at that time was 2-4 pounds, not the sire.:) Teri:animal-pa |

Weight of Yorkie(s) parents:mom 6-7 pounds;dad 4-5 pounds i wonder how much mine actually weigh becuase female looks about like these maybe a little smaller? i thought she was about 9lbs i love my big fat yorkies do you sale alot of yorkie babys? what kind of coats do they have? the momma looks like my male yorkies coat but i don't know if it will grow out differently ok then thanks. |
Mia has a nice thick coat where Bubba has a thinner lighter coat. I would not say that I sell a lot of Yorkie Babies. We generally have about 3 litters a year. Teri:animal-pa |

If I was in the market for a new Yorkie, I would want to know a little about the breeder I was getting the puppy from, wouldn't you? I would want to know how many dogs she has, how many times they get bred, how many breeds she has on the premises (accidents do happen -- and sometimes a person doesn't even know until a subsequent generation!), what register is used (AKC is my choice -- others might like something else), I want to know if the person brokers puppies for other people or if the puppies have been raised in her home. It should not be a guessing game when you buy a puppy. Knowing the background, the environment, the credentials, the procedures, the whole story -- not just the price and a cute picture. The person who orginally alerted the concerns was not judgemental just informative -- and these are just concerns for some of us; others are looking for a cuddly dog and the details are less important. My first Yorkie was like that for me -- I just loved her when I saw her and had no idea what the standard was or what her background was -- I just wanted to love her. But even then, I asked a lot of questions and made sure to see her living conditions before I bought her. She was far from meeting standards but she was a wonderful addition to the family. This time around I am looking for more information -- I want to love these Yorkies just as much, but I would also like to wind up with two that are actually within standards, so that I can breed them if we decide to. Even when you get all of the tickets punched, there is still no guarantee your puppy will meet standards when grown -- but there is a better chance if you do your homework and know all these details that some tried to point out. I don't think they were mean about it, I hope you did not think I was being mean either -- I did question how she could have 38 puppies + the adult dogs in her own home and well cared for. As it turned out -- she did not own all the dogs. It is just a sharing of information and I do not think any of it was wrong. I am sure there is a market for her puppies. But those who do not want to use that type of breeder, or those looking for something different should know the whole story so as not to waste both sides time. This is JMHO and not necessarily the only one, obviously. That is why I come to a forum -- to get different opinions. Sorry this is so lengthy but I wanted you to know that these are real concerns for some buyers and sharing information is not a bad thing. Not to say anything less of this person just that everyone is not looking for the same thing. The flip side is that responsible breeders will ask a lot of questions of the person buying their puppies too. |

Many looking for a puppy just aren't aware of what can be going on out there. I don't like to see people buying uninformed not by their fault but just because they didn't know. The more information anyone can get before purchasing a puppy, the better armed they are to make the right choice. |
Sorry, I did mean to say 6 - 7lbs. for the mother and 4 - 5 lbs for the father?? They just look much larger than mine and she is 6lbs. |
the mother looks about brownies size r u sure about the weight? hey we were wrong about kaykos weight for a long time lol the little brats move so much when weighting them it could be off ? |
DELTED POST - im not sure when i was at work and pulled this post up it showed a few post and other w/ names and a message stating it was deleted im not debating here, people are trying to making conflicted about this persons ad and i dont agree w/ it. but we are all intitled to our opinions but we should also be GOOD people and not judge w/o knowing facts.i have noticed that people are very strong about just yorkies and just "purebred" and that okay but dont shun people for not being like you and she has tried to answer everyones questions. also on the akc how do we think we got purebreds by mixing different breeds so they all started out as mixed breeds then some one stated this is now purebred and so they became certified purebred and got papers but im not expert and wont claim to be i just think that this forum is to be friendly and encouraging not degrading and rude to check people out give out info and not even know the all story people should not assume because you know what that means it makes an ass out of u and me maybe she is a good breeder maybe she not and unless you physically know i wouldnt say anthing to try to slander there reputation |
I think many members are getting tired of YT being a free for all for anythings goes. If you stand up to breeding of tinies, off standard, puppymills or BYB or buying of petstore pups..... You are then the one who becomes attacked. I'm not sure where our yorkies will be in ten years if this anything goes continues. :( |

Posts get deleted for being off topic not just because something was said that shouldn\'t have been. Your post and mine may get deleted for that reason. Nobody is trying to cause conflict and what was posted is fact. Facts people are interested in when looking for puppies. This forum is friendly and encouraging but it\'s also about sharing information. Even Dawgcrazee wrote she did not have a problem with it. |

Hi Teri, Do you know a lady by the name of Mrs. Peacock by any chance? |
Hi, I know noone called Mrs. Peacock. My Aunt Rachel had some folks on her side of the family with that last name. I went to Jr High School with a girl named Kim Peacock. Teri:animal-pa |
I don\'t know if it is the picture, but the Mom and Dad look much larger than the posted weights. I have a Shih Tzu that is 10 lbs at 4 years old, your pupopies\' Mom & Dad look much larger than she does. After seeing pictures of the parents, I can see why the puppies are the size they are, at their age. Again, it might just be the photo. Just a suggestion....maybe you should post a better picture??? JMO, the parents look huge for their posted weights, in the pictures you posted. Good luck with finding homes for your puppies. |

not to yorkie standards Obviously they not breed standard sized yorkies.. Any one can breed a yorkie and sell them, its EASY!!! But to stick to breed standards and have good bloodlines is very hard and lots and lots of work and years of research. The Reason he is being questioned is because if you really love the YORKIE breed and want it preserved for the future then you would question this person too. This is my opnion! I just cringe thinking about all those poor unhealthy, poorly breed, laying in cages PUPs and Parents.. You need to think about that!!!!!! |

we seem to be going in the wrong direction sometimes - people SHARE what they see on websites. If it happens to be negative - that\'s their RIGHT to say but people seem to think it\'s bashing - If it\'s positive.... all seems well - but many times ...the red flags are still there. If the people who spot the red flags DON\'T speak up - how is that helping those who are just starting to learn what to look for in the breed and the people who sell to them ? Personally - I welcome all comments - if someone post their dogs for sale on the net - then they should be ready for the scrutiny both good and bad. |
