I am looking for a small size female to bring into my family. Hoping someone can point me to a breeder in Florida or Georgia.

Hello and welcome! I am fairly new here also.

I am looking for reputable breeders in Florida also. If and when I find any good information, I'll certainly let you know. I'll be leaving town for a couple weeks, but I'll still be looking and checking things out.

I'll let you know if any thing good comes up.

Hi Tammy.

I am looking for a male. I would like a little guy with the cobby body style, short legs and babydoll face. Size wise, I would like three to four pounds at adulthood.

I live not to far from Ocala. I always check ocala4sale.com also. It's pretty neat. I have seen quite a few yorkies in the past for sale there. Not too many right now but it wouldn't hurt to save it in your favorites and take a peek every now and then. Of course, I don't know anything about the breeders or sellers on there unfortunately.

But, like I said, we can look out for one another while looking!

Yes I admit I too check the ocala4sale ads every day. I have been looking for about a month now. I fell in love with a small girl who came from a breeder in Gainesville, I have someone trying to contact her but so far no luck.

Hi.

Well, looks like we're all looking and may be able to help one another.

As well as the ocala online classifieds, I keep an eye on livedeal.com. You have to be very careful though. There are dogs listed from everywhere and many times I've come across the ones that are truly nothing but a scam. But, you can put your zip code in and it'll come up with the yorkies in the area. There again, it's a bit scary that way but thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, me too. I'd like to know what I'm getting and who I'm getting it from. I know of one woman here that breeds yorkies but she doesn't have puppies right now. Don't know when she'll breed again, but I'm going to talk to her when we get back. I don't think she has puppies very often but she was referred through a friend.

She may know of others. The only other person I have found here has male puppies but they have been spoken for. It never fails!!!!!

I looked at a yorkie who is due next week (outside Gainesville area) today,the owner says the babies will be small, both the mom and dad had their hair cut very short, but what concerned me was the dads skin seemed to not be healthy feeling, felt kind of scaly to me. I dont think I would recommend her to you.

It may not be anything, but I think that we'll just keep looking! I know I'm being very persnickity about this but we're not talking small sums of money here so we must be careful and picky at the same time.

Wow, there sure are a ton of people looking for babies in the Florida area. I got my little boy from a breeder in the Sebastian Beach area which is on the east coast just south of Cocoa Beach. If any of you guys are interested in coming to that area to get a very good quality yorkie from a very reputable breeder I can find out of she still has any left from her last litter. I also think she has a litter due again very soon. PM if you are interested. Here is a picture of my little boy I got from her - he is so sweet, cute and healthy. He is 10 months old and weighs 4 pounds.

I know an excellent breeder who lives in Niceville, Florida. Its near the Panhandle. She was a vet tech for 11 years and has excellent lines. She has tons of pics and references. Very clean and very professional. Most of her babies grow to be between 3-5lbs as adults. Her email address is yorkiemom36@hotmail.com

Please dont buy from a Pet Store. So many puppies that are in petstores are from Puppy mills and are sickly. Please go to a referred breeder from someone who you can call their referralls and you can see both Parents. That way you know you are getting a 100% pure bred Yorkie. If you are going to pay the price for one, then you need to see what they will look like and see if they have pictures of past puppies from those parents as well. Get a good breeder. Please not a Pet Store.

I agree completely!!!! I would never buy from a pet store. There are too many reputable breeders out here. Puppy Mills are the only ones that supply pet stores and you never know what diseases your new puppy might have. Or how much stress it has been put through.

I would like to say thanks to all, for all the advice and information on different breeders. We have now added a beautifull bouncing baby boy to our family. He now goes by the name Bobo.
