Looking to buy a beautifule yorkie VA Hello all my name is Danielle, and I am looking to buy a yorkie. I have been searching for little over a year. When I first began my search I didn't know how expensive a yorkie breed will be so me and my husband thought it best to save up the money. :) Well about 2 months ago we finally saved up money.Well for the past month I've been researching how to care for a yorkie breed, what their special needs are as a toy breed, and about their special companionship. Yesterday morning I found this site while looking for how to potty train a yorkie (I want to be somewhat well prepared lol because we) and after reading i exited the site forgetting to save it in my favorites. After running some errands and going by the pet store (petland they had some yorkies and we decided to buy one from there) we came back home and I was looking for the site and ran across another unexespectingly about how petland gets their puppys from puppymills. How sad.. I think that this forum is a Godsend because if it wasnt for me looking for this site I would have never known. I called petland and asked them for the breeders usda number and they couldnt give it to me, saying all they knew was that they got it from Kate's Breeder and dont know where Kate's Breeders got it from. To me that is really sad. Well we want to buy a yorkie doesnt really matter the sex but I have already purchased boy colors lol. We are located in Newport News, VA and would gladly appreciate any help in finding a reputable breeder in VA. Thank you for your help in advance. I can't wait to log on later and read about all of your yorkies.:) |

Hi :) I'm a breeder on the Florida/Georgia border. I know this is probably a long shot but since you seem to be having a rough time finding a furbaby I thought I'd just put it out there. I have a litter that should be ready to go around end of November (they were born Sept. 6th). 3 girls and a boy. You can see pics of their progression here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikesagmeister (more will be posted week by week). I would be willing to drive and meet you halfway (probably somewhere in SC) if you were really interested come time for them to find homes. I would just need to talk to you a bit over the phone first. Send me a pm if you're interested, so as to discuss weight of puppies, price, etc. Hope you find a furbaby one way or another! -Bendless Love edit: oops, looks like I missed a page of the post, lol! Grats! :D |
UPDATE I got my baby last night and he is just as precious as can be. The only thing I didn't really like it that he's like 7 wks...I thought he was 8 wks upon getting him, told by my husband but he was listening correctly. :) |
Congrats!! As you know when they are so young Hypoglycemia is a concern. Just make sure you have Nutircal for him and make sure he is eating often. Can't wait to see pics |

Please be very, very careful with this puppy. Since it is so young, it can only have had one set of shots, and probably won't have a full immunity to Parvo, which is really dangerous to puppies. For right now until this puppy gets it's second set of shots you shouldn't take it on walks, let it come in contact with strange dogs and even people coming into your house can carry parvo on their shoes so make sure everyone takes their shoes off at the front door. Best of luck with your new puppy. |
