Looking for a yorkie! I am new to this. This is my dream dog, because it is sooo beautiful. I am currently serving in the military, and am stationed in NC, soon to be CA. I am looking for someone who breeds yorkies, and is cheap. Being in the military well that says much. I cant really afford the 1500 or 2000. I am looking for someone who is willing to let me pay them half on the 1st and half on the 15th. Since everytime i surf the web, I see the pics of these adorable yorkies and my little 3 y/o daughter tells me she wants one. I will be deploying sometime in the next year, and I want my daughter to have someone that can keep her head up, and that we could love. I will be in NC til the end of september, and in Houston, TX til the 21 of october, then will be in San Diego, CA. I want to be able to see the puppies too. Cause there is a lot of scammers out there. Well if any one has any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. |
Have you looked the the for sale section of YT?? |

There was someone who was selling little yorkies cheap in Texas if you want their account name just let me know and I will be more than happy to give it to you!! I think the pups were like three hundred or something like that!! |
Well is it bad if they are cheap, does that mean that there not that healthy or is it bad? |
there are a lot of breeders in texas |
The one I talked to said that she priced them like that because they were ckc instead of akc!! If you would still like her info pm me or just ask!! |
http://www.terrysterriers.com/Puppies.html That where I got my furbabys at, try there. She is in TX (where I am from). The lady is really nice and will work with you. As long as you have the pup payed off before you pick her/him up or shipped, then she has not problem with you paying how you want. She has a little due soon. Best of luck and welcome to YT Olivia |
Thank you very much, I will be having a weird schedule til nov. I will be in NC til the end of September, then in October in the beginnig for like 3 or 4 days will be in Orlando, then after that to houston, tx, til the 21st or so, then getting stationed in San Diego, CA. So if ya'll know any one in those places, can i please have their page link! Thank you very much. |
ChestersMom is in Bacliff TX and she's the one that I talked to! The mom was given to her but the dad is akc registered but she knows that the mom is full blooded yorkie last time I talked to her she was going to try to register the pups ckc!! She seemed really nice if you can you should pm her!! I will keep my ears and eyes open for you!! |
Welcome to Yt and thankyou for your service to our country!!!!! i hope you find your baby soon. I'm not sure this is the right dog for a three year old tho. All it takes is one accidental stumble and the dog is squashed. Even children who are well behaved and have been around dogs all their lives have accidents. someonee posted on here a year or so ago aboiut a two year old falling on her dog and killing it. If you do get a yorkie, you might want to consider one of the larger ones. i know my grands are well behaved and have dogs but when they come here, I don't even allow them in the room where my dogs are unless I am there and they are sitting on the floor. I have seen too many accidents. They are three and six. Even the six year old is still clumsy. |
I had a couple dogs when I was younger. this will be like one of my babies, I wouldn't let it get hurt or anything. My little girl wont be with me for a couple months til we get settled at our new duty station. When we had the chihuaha, she did really well with it it was only 5 weeks old, and she'd hold it like her baby, we taugh her how to be gentle with them. |
Good luck with your search. I agree get a larger yorkie. I have a 6 year old and a ten and a 6 lbs yorkies. The 10 lb one plays with my Daughter. The 6 lb one wants nothing to do with her. |
I would have to agree that if you are set on getting a yorkie to get a larger size one due to you having a small child. I am a teacher and mother and no matter how you teach them to be gentle accidents can still happen. Also - do you know how much time it takes to care for this breed of dog - a Lot! Also there is teeth cleaning you will need to have, since they are a small breed of dog, not to mention the regular care. It sounds like you have a full load and no time left to care for an extra. If you are trying to just buy a pup for your daughter not to be alone so much without you - rescue a pup from the Humane Society or one like it. Yorkies can be pretty expensive and hard to find cheaper ones and ones that are healthy with health guarantees (1 year) or from reputable breeders that will sell to people with small children. I say this all with help and thought. Welcome to YT and all this advise from me and others you are getting is meant with love and care. Best Wishes, T. |
I have another questions if some people are willing to help out. For those people who buy online, if any one has ever done so, how can you determine if the yorkie is the one you want? What kind of questions do you ask? and what do you look for? Sometimes I wonder why are people selling the same looking yorkies for 500 or 800. Is there a difference that makes them more, or not? Thank you for your time. |
