Looking for a breeder in New Jersey - HELP! This is a nightmare! I already have one 12lb. Yorkie (which I do LOVE with all my heart!) and am in the market for one well within the standard.....why is this so hard!!!! Met some dingbat breeder today and I'm just about ready to give up......... If anyone can help I'd sure appreciate it. Thank You! |
Hi, we aren't in NJ but we aren't too far - PA. We're located in West Lawn, PA (suburb of Reading) about an hour or so west of Philly. We have two females remaining from our current litter - Chloe and Caden. They are both 12 weeks of age and are ready to go. Please visit my website - http://www.ferragame.com and view my "current litter" page for more information on the two remaining babies. Also, please see my FAQ (frequently asked questions) page for more information on what we include with our puppies. My wife is a vet tech and our puppies receive the best care possible. They are socialized and very friendly. Please give us a call at 610-914-1634 or email at info@ferragame.com and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your time. i live in south jersey. romeo came from a good breeder who quit breeding. my next dog will probaly be from topknotchyorkies.com many y't members rave about her and her dogs. she's in s.jersey. good luck. |
Topknotch is a broker site that has listed Yorkies, Maltese, Puggles, Morkies, Shorkies, Maltizu, Yorkishon, Yorkiepoo and Maltipoo on their site. They import pups from Brazil and accept credit cards. They also have a pic listed as Topknotch Teacups and mention a new 'facility in Corbin City. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. jmo |
have you contacted Stacy lol the poster above.... sylvanyorkies.com  |
No I have not contacted Stacy - lol! But I will NOW! Believe me, after 2 poorly bred dogs, I spotted Topknotch as a place "I did not want to be"! |

Susan Morgan & Topknotch Yorkies I purchased my Morkie Teddy (aka Parker at Susan's) in July 2005, and he has been wonderful. He has been extremely healthy, Susan's home is immaculated, her records were detailed and precise and she was always there to help. I was hesitant to purchase from a broker, but after talking to her vet and seeing her home and the puppies I changed my perception. I had a yorkie whom I purchased from a breeder in PA and I loved her and she was a great pet for 13 years, but she had many health issues (trachea and pancreas) and was not as well socialized as Teddy. While I wouldn't recommed running to the nearest broker, I do recommend Susan. |
Sylvan Also, "Sylvan" is a breeder his/herself and it makes sense that he/she would not recommend a pup from someone else, but her information is incorrect. The facility she is referring to in Corbin City offers grooming and training onsite - it is not a horrible yorkie puppy factory that she implies. - Visit for yourself - you will see! |

My little Morkie Tia originally came from Susan (TopNotch). I got Tia out of the classified section of our local newspaper. The woman bought her from Susan then decided she didn't want her. Susan, was nice enough to give me info on Tia that the seller did not provide. I am 100 percent against brokers/puppymills and petstores but in all honesty cannot say anything bad about Susan accept that she gets her pups from Brazil and although they are healthy and well cared for I do not know for sure how the parents in Brazil are being cared for. Although, that may not bother some people it bothers me. I can't with good conscience buy knowing that my pup may have come from parents being overbred and uncared for at a puppymill. I recently went through this struggle when I found a beautiful little boy Susan had, but in the end I could not go through with it, not because there was anything wrong with the pup or any of her pups but simply because I could not be 100 percent sure that these pups were not the product of a puppymill parents. That's just my feeling on this:) The thing is that the woman I got Tia from also bought two dogs from Susan prior to Tia and got rid of them then was sold Tia and after she listed Tia, she went back to Susan for yet another dog and the fact that not one but four dogs in total were sold to this woman even though Susan knew the history with this woman bothered me too, but I guess that's what makes it a business. Just my .02. Susan however, does run a clean establishment and the pups seemed to be taken care of, but atleast for me, I need to know that the parents are not living in a hell hole producing litter after litter. P.S. the fourth dog this woman got, she also got rid of. Just hoping she doesn't get anymore. Elaine |
