For those of you that do..be proud of what you do..there are going to be judgemental people all over the world..they can say why buy a mix when there are so many out there that need homes..well why buy a purebred..there are just as many as those out there too..
| I totally agree. If done right and properly, mixes are a great thing. I don't know about where everyone lives, but here there tend to be more purebreds in shelters than there are mixes. You also have to consider this one big difference.... shelter dogs, you don't know their history, you don't know who the mom or dad was, whether or not the mom or dad had behavioral problems, whether they had health problems and even health problems that they could pass on to the pups and you would have no idea if it did. Atleast when you buy a mixed from a breeder, you know their history. I am not saying don't buy shelter dogs, they are alot of great dogs out there, I am just saying don't knock those who want a specific mix from a breeder. |
