Reggie's Angel Babe' Star is one of the most beautiful babies we have ever had. She has a baby face with a very short nose, and is very dark. I can only guess at her adult weight, but based on past litters, I believe she will get to be around 4-4.5 pounds. Star was almost totally black when she was born March 27th, except for slightly brown color across her chest and one small white star on her upper belly. Eight days later her mother died. The vet believed she had a uterine infection or more than likely, she had after birth stuck in the birth canal. Star and her 4 sisters, Love, Faith, Hope and Charity were hand raised and socialized from 8 days old on. I call them Reggie's Miracle Babies. When I took them to the vet for their 6 week checkup and shots, he was amazed at how healthy they were, and that they all survived. I had help from above when God sent me 3 angels to help care for them, Sissy, Roxie and Dante. And then the miracle happened when they were 4 1/2 weeks old and already eating mushy food, Roxie got milk. Star is so beautiful and cute! What an amazing story of her life....She is soo darling!
I was kind of curious about her coloring, I have seen some yorkie babies darker like this. What does that mean? Are they going to be darker or have more dark streaks in their coloring or on the top of the head? I have seen adult yorkies with more blk like stripes on their face and topknot area. Just wondering? I think it is beautiful.

To be very honest with you, I have no idea. She is the fifth pup we've had with such dark coloring. Her sisters were more normal yorkie color at birth, with some tans and gold with the black. But not Star, she was so dark and very easy to spot among the other girls. All the other girls heads are starting to turn white and silver. But Star is still very dark. I have no idea if she will lighten up. We had 4 born last November, all four still very dark, very little change to their head color. Mom is very tan and black and dad is almost white silver all over. Most of his offspring have developed the white or very blond head with sliver blue backs. But not these ones. They are almost coal black. Star is from Reggie/Gizmo. She is also tan/black. I wish I could give you an answer. Maybe they are freaks of nature, only very pretty ones.

As you can see, Leo now Dante), Cosmos (now Guiseppe), Neptune (now Dinky) and Venus (now Paris) are all very dark. Pictures of them at 16 weeks old. Star is darker than any of them were.

Star is so pretty. I wish I could buy her but don't have the money right now. As far as her being dark, My baby, Dixie Dollbaby, had the same coloring at that age when I got her and her breeder said she would probably stay dark since her mother was the same way. Now she is six months old and I am just now seeing some white and gold hair scattered here and there.

Star is very beautiful. I hope you find a good home for her. I decided mine was to special to part with. Thankyou for sharing such beautiful pictures.

Star and Tink look like they could be sisters. She looks more like Tink than she does with her own sisters, Love, Faith, Hope and Charity. I'm going to have a hard time parting with any of them, more so than any other litter we've had. I'm really not looking forward to this. I simply can't keep them all, as much as I really, really want to. I had such a hard time trying to decide which one to keep, but Love was the only one with white on her chest, like her mama. Star's little star has almost disappeared. She was my first choice to keep, but then decided on Love. Who knows, when it comes right down to it, I may not be able to let her go.

Oh my gosh that story is soo sad but it's a wonderful joy that they all made it!! It might just be me but I would keep her because I already knew that I coldn't keep them all!

Your puppies are beautiful . I had a puppy just like star's color and now , she is dark steel blue and gold .

Thanks so much everyone. Star is a little devil and very smart. We have a doggie fence around our in-ground pool to keep Bo from falling in. I need one more section of fence and had to rig up the last area. Sure enough, Star found a small hole to crawl through. I thought I had it fixed but tonight I found her running around the pool chasing birds away.

She is honestly one of the cutest I have seen. I showed my Husband and he said I could see a trip to Ohio! If I didn't have my parents to take care of right now I would definately want her. I just can't take on a puppy right now. If you decide to keep her awhile and she comes available later i would definatley be interested.

I would love to keep her for a while but I know it will end up being a lifetime because for a while is just going to make me want yo keep her more. I'm having a hard enough time as it is parting with any of the girls. Just let me know if your situation gets better.

I've seen these pups in real life is star is one of the prettiest yorkies I have ever seen. I would of given anything to have her but I was on a mission to get my dante lol..I'm telling you she is perfect in every way. To the lucky person that gets her you won't regret it cause she is downright beautiful and i will be totally jealous of you lol..I've seen dark yorkies as pups and then as adults and they are really gorgoeus..

Star looks just like Trixie's dad, he was dark and so gorgeous and Star looks like she would be just like him, I wish I had pictures of him to show you guys, I love his coloring and he looked just like Star does when he was a pup, had the exact marking and everything and now as an adult is incredibly gorgeous just like Star will be. She is soooo adorable, but I won't be getting another yorkie until next year. Good luck on finding a home for her.

Linda, Dinky sure is growing up. He is turning into one fine boy. :thumbup: Does he have a silk coat or cotton, it looks like a silk. He will make a great dad someday if you are still going to use him in your breeding program.

That chocolate male puppy that is for sale here on YT? He is gorgeous, and it would be so cool if you got him, because then when he gets older and you breed him I can buy one of his pups off of you. Not trying to persuade you or anything, lol :angel: I would buy him myself except I seem to be lacking one thing... the money to buy him with! Now if it was next year that would be different story!!! I love chocolate yorkies, they are so different and gorgeous.

Dinky is quite the little man but still as puppy-like as they come. His coat is silky. He's almost 7 months old and yes, do plan to use him for breeding but have to get some females not related. Keep me in mind, Sassy is pregnant with Gizmo, due in July. Can't wait to see if this batch turns out dark too.

Yes, I know all too well about the chocolate puppy on YT. I've already PM with the owner. Just trying to get my girls sold so I can get him.

The breeder where I got Elle, has 3 chocolate yorkies. One male is 6 mos, another male was 4 weeks and she just got a female that is probably 2 weeks. She is gonna breed em to keep trying to get the chocolate color. I do have to admit, they are adorable. The 6 month old was called hershey, omg he was so cute. The color was nice and rich.
