How old were your puppies when you took this picture and how old are they now. Can you possibly give an estimate of their current weight,

These Puppies are Have now found new homes
 
We are expecting another litter in September, they were all box trained when they left. This means they will be ready before Christmas. Wish we had a crystal ball, because we already have requests for 1 male. Keep in touch and ask any other questions. Thanks. Kirk and Mary...justus

You don't need a cyrstal ball to figure out weights on the yorkies. Many have used this format and it does come very close to adult weights. At six weeks-triple the weight, At eight weeks - double the weight and add 1/2, then at 12 weeks you double the weight. Just a suggestion. Be Blessed :animal36

Most people that we have sold our babies to are more interested in the yorkies being healthy (AKC Standard= 4 to 7 pounds) We have heard horror stories about tiny yorkie vet bills also. We have read the formula for estimating before. That plus looking at the size of paws works well as anything. ...justus

I have several sizes of yorkies and starting with my three pound yorkie to my biggest yorkie, I haven't had no per say problems with them health wise. My smallest girl had to have eye surgery, she scratched her corena and we couldn't stop the infection, so we opt'd to do a graft to save the eye, which was successful. But while at the specialist there were many breeds there with this situation. I guess I could chalk it up to the fact she is so low to the ground that she is more likely to have this happen. But not all small yorkies are sickly.

I am sorry Susan if you took that I was saying was that any yorkie under the standard AKC weight range was sickly. Please accept my apology if you took me that way. What I meant to suggest would be more closely fitting by saying the smaller (meaning under AKC 4-7 pound range) would have a higher percentage of health problems from my understanding. I made my opinion from Vet advice and stats and research I have done. Again, this is only my opinion I have drawn from some of the horror stories I have read and heard about. Please don't take what I wrote previously as an attack. I truly didn't mean to offend. A scratch of the cornea is not something I would never put in a catagory of being sickly. Things of that nature can happen if the dog is 3 pounds or 12. :( I never have welcomed you to Yorkie Talk and would like to do so at this time. I am not upset at all !! :) We are all expressing our opinions and why should anyone get mad about that. Opinions are like belly buttons we all have them. No one is right and no one is wrong from a opinion in my eyes. You were sharing what you have heard. And I was sharing that I know of many little yorkies that aren't. I suppose it just depends maybe on the dog not the size. Thank you for the warm welcome!! Let's all keep sharing!!! :aimeeyork

I think that's completely wrong. Double the weight at 12 weeks and add a pound. Double the weight at 16 weeks.
