looking for Yorkie in MA Hello! Can anyone please recomend me a breeder in MA? I never had a yorkie before and want to find a breeder that someone recomends. Any advices are welcome! Thank you ps sorry i posted it first in the wrong place, i am new to this forum.... |
good luck We live in mass and looked for a while, we eventually had to go out of state. You will also find that you will pay a LOT more here than you will other places. There are lots of good breeders on here that you can get a fantastic baby from. Good luck! |
can you recomend any? I am new to this country, so i am so confused with buying a puppy here and very afraid to get not healthy one. Which ones did you check out in MA that were no good? Were did you get yours? Thank you for your answer! |

sorry it took a while to get back to you... Hi Yulia, we called all the breeders we could find in ma. A few had puppies but I did not get a good feeling when I talked to them. We went to visit Country home yorkies. There is a thread about it on here that I would suggest you read, just do a search. We got our baby, Lola, from a breeder in GA. I would not buy from her again. If I had it to do all over, i would buy from someone on here. Look in the yorkies for sale section. There are lots of good breeders in there and if they are involved in this forum they are taking the time and interest to do what they can for the betterment of the breed. You are lucky to have found this forum before buying your baby, I didn't find it until after. Good luck! |

Yes, i did find her name on some site named rip-off report.com... Too bad, but thanks for telling me!! I have a 2.2 y.o. daughter and i don't want her to see the puppy get sick or even worse ... But what i don't understand. If i order puppy to be sent to me from other state, how do i know that this will be the perfect puppy, you know? I don't get to see the parents and i can't really see the person who sells...And i don't see the puppy, don't know if we will "click" |
I think it would be the best if you could visit.... or.. some people try to get to know breeders through YT... on YT I doubt that there is a scammer... but there are a lot of scammers through internet.. so.. that is something to watch out too. If I can think of something... I let you know. I can understand.. how you feel because I went through the same thing and just decided to travel.. |
Well, my husband says he can drive us on a weekend somewhere else outside of MA. How did you go to PA? Did you drive? Any good breeders in NY/NH/RI/PA? |

Hello. I live in RI too, and I actually got my yorkie from a local breeder. She is a very experienced breeder, breeds to the standard, and you can tell her pups are happy and healthy. That is the best combination. I brought my little Lola to the Vet not too long ago, and he said I have a very healthy yorkie in my hands. So, I am glad that I chose a good breeder, because at the time, I didn't know as much as I know now. So if you look in RI, just make sure you feel comfortable with a breeder before buying a pup from him/her. For me, I can just tell if the breeder cares. There is a certain way they talk, the things they talk about, the things they want to know about you, the things they can say about themselves, the references they give you of past buyers, the vet references they give you. Just try your best to make sure you are comfortable with the whole process and that the pup is a healthy and happy one. :) |
did anyone hear anything about Smartpuppiepets (Peabody, Massachusetts)? About homecountryyorkies...i didn't find anything on the search too...but i went there...woman seemed very strange...does not remember the dob of her puppies. She also told me that she has one more yorkie, but she is younger. On my question "are her ears up or down?" she answered that she is not sure.... didn't look very professional |
