Looking for a yorkie in the NY/NJ/CT or anywhere else closeby
 
We are looking for another yorkie. Pref. a female but would consider a male too. We have a female spayed 8 lb sweetheart and would love to spoil another one.

We live on Long Island, about 30 minutes from Manhattan. We have excellent vet and personal references and I am a stay at home mom who takes our yorkie everywhere. I have older teenage daughters, 13, 17 and 21.

We would welcome a home check and would travel to get our new baby. Please feel free to contact me with detailed information and photos if available. Thank you.

hi , i live around 15 minutes from you and there is a place in brooklyn name
quality pups, the mans name is ivan and is a reputable breeder. a few people here would recommend him...i almost got a pup from him, but lexi came up instead and i am so happy with her.

Thanks for the compliment and again thanks for posting my photos... also thanks to Lexi's mom for the information. Do you have more information regarding the breeder? He is not part of that store in Brooklyn is he? There is a store called puppy paradise or something... I won't ever buy another dog from a petshop. If he is a breeder, and a reputable one, please do give me additional information. Thank all of your for your posts.

Hi-Ilive in Brooklyn & I am looking for a furbaby. I have never heard of Quality Pups. Do you know where in Brooklyn? I know I will not get a puppy from Puppy Petite now. I have read the reviews. The people there seemed so nice when I called them! You never know

Doesn't say too much on the website either. Plus he does breed a lot of dogs..ummmm. Wondering where he keeps them? Isn't Brooklyn the city? Where do these dog play and run. I don't know anyone in Brooklyn that has a huge backyard or even a large piece of land.

Hi I have been there before. I have to tell you a neighbor of mine bought his three shih's from there and had nothing bad to say. But when went there four years back I wasn't impressed. The place is a small store front and they have some puppies individually caged...those are the higher priced pups. If you want something maybe a little cheaper the guy (who looks like a funeral director) goes into the back and will bring out another puppy in that cost range. They have no pictures of the parents or information as such. I just called to make sure I was speaking about the same place before I posted. Well anyhow I didnt' get a good vibe from the place. You can check it out though. Their Shih's and Yorkies are from their own dogs and those of family members (just spoke to the lady and that is what she told me), their other dogs come from where ever else I am not sure.

Thank you-I called them & they were not as helpful as I would have liked. I am really looking to get a Yorkie & me search is getting crazy. But good things come to who wait!

O yeah searching for yorkies in the tri-state area is difficult. Alot of people breed south or out west!

I actually found three breeders that are not that far and are AKC registered and one that I am currently in touch with her references have checked out well. If you want I can give you her name.

It's hard and frustrating but the work will pay off in the end. Better to take your time and get a healthy dog from a caring and honest breeder than rush and have to break the bank with the pupp.

Prices are about what you expect in the metro area. I think we paid $1800 for him. The breeder is very knowledgeable and gave me advice when I needed it.She had the dam and the sire, which is very good to know. She prefers babydoll faces, which was what I wanted. He is very sweet and not yappy or too hyper.People always comment on his coloring which is very blonde on his face. :thumbup:

The price of $1800.00 sounds like a lot for a male that is not ch. sired and dam. I am speaking of the prices that Hannah posted.
In my area, a male can be found from reliable breeders who are knowledgeable and well-educated in the breed for much less than that. Is it because of the area??
In the DC/Balto area, our prices for males are $1000.00 and up. Check Sylvan's ad....or PM her or me if you would like more info and would be willing to drive a few hours to get a puppy who you know FOR SURE is not a broker or commercial breeder...

First of all, both of Jackson's parents are champions, not that it matters, secondly outside of California, NY/CT/NJ are going to have the highest prices. Third of all he is priceless!
