HELP! Looking for reputable breeders So it's been a while since I've been on YorkieTalk... my sweet baby Dupree passed almost 2 yrs ago and I just haven't been ready to get a new fur baby until recently. I live in LA now and I'm having the hardest time finding a puppy. My last baby was perfect and went everywhere with me (he was spoiled rotten). I tried reaching out to the breeder that I got Dupree from but she's no longer breeding pups. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks! |
I don't know about reputable breeders, but you can check Premierpups.com. They have quite a lot of good reviews and have found many pups a loving home. |
Looks like a broker to me, to many different breeds and "designer" dogs. I personally would stay away from Premier Pups. I would look for a breeder that breeds only yorkies. JMO |
Pups So sorry you lost your baby, I sure know how devastating that is, but happy to know you are ready for a new baby in your life. It is hard to find a good breeder but you might try the breeder referral section on The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America web site. You may also consider an older pup or dog that the breeder has held back for showing etc and it had some minor defect that would not maytter for a pet. Good luck and please let us know when you find your baby. |
Isn’t Deb of Amazing Yorkies somewhere in the Wasr now! She has lovely Yorkies. also, the earlier suggestion of looking at breeders on YTCA website. |
1 Attachment(s) Would you consider a Biewer pup? I have a beautiful girl that is ready to go. She is about 16 weeks old, should be about 6lbs full grown and is IBC registered (although still waiting on papers in the mail). She is super sweet and playful! I am located near Knoxville, TN but willing to ship or hand deliver. |
I’m looking for a reputable breeder. Purchased my baby from a wonderful show/Breeder recommended by a YTCA judge Breeder. She was wonderful and assed a year ago. She was beautiful, well bred small 4 pound female. My best friend got 14 Years. |

I'd contact them and then ask if they're preparing to show at any dog shows this year and then meet them in person. And if they don't have puppies - that's okay! Meet them in person and then ask for referral to another reputable breeder who might have puppies available. If they're good, you may need to go on a waiting list. As LadyJane warned, be very weary about anyone contacting you to sell you puppies because of your post! These days, there are many many brokers who claim to be something they're not. |
Definitely a broker check out the videos. Plus the full breeds aren't even AKC |
I have Biewer litters coming in March. |
