Looking For Yorkie-LA Phoenix Las Vegas Hello! I'm looking for a yorkie, parti yorkie, chorkie, porkie, or yorkiepoo. I prefer males. Also one that is under 2years old, with no current known health problems. 5lbs or under (full grown) would be perfect! I am traveling to phoenix on the 24th of this month, so that's an option. I live in Los Angeles and am willing to travel anywhere in CA or Las Vegas. If you know of any breeders I can contact or dogs that fit this description, please let me know! I would greatly appreciate it since this search has been VERY tough so far!!! Xo |
I would recommend my breeder for Marcel (my avatar picture) - who is a show breeder and lives here in Holcombe, AZ. She would drive down to Phx to meet you, I'm sure. Her name is Kathy Murphy of Gold Dust Yorkies: www.golddustyorkies.com |

I would not recommend Gold Dust Yorkies,, based on several experiences I have had and several experiences of a close friend of mine AZkaty |
@azkaty I sent you a PM. Please let me know if you did not receive it. |

I am no longer looking, I purchased a yorkie from Gold Dust Yorkies. I want to share my experience. The day I was suppose to pick him up Kathy called me and informed me he had a red eye. She took him to the vet and it was an injury from playing with the other pups. She gave me a note from the vet and medicine for it. I would have never noticed his eye. She could have took the easy route and sold a sick puppy to me, but was honest and responsible, instead. She drove 3 hours to give him to me, free of charge. She also gave me potty pads, food, treats, and a toy for him. I took him to the vet the next day when I got home and he seemed to be in perfect geakth, besides the eye. The next day, while I was holding him, he jumped from my arms onto the concrete from a tall chair (I underestimated his strength). I rushed him to the vet for x-rays. All of his bones are fine but they informed me that his heart is too large for his body, but does not seem to be a problem at this moment. I will keep you all updated on that. He is 4 months old and not potty trained. He pees on the potty pads, but poops on the floor. I'm not sure if that is common for a puppy his age or not. So far, I'm pleased with my experience with Kathy. I hope that gives some insight to anyone considering buying from her. :) |

Btw, I believe I've heard before that many yorkies have "hearts that are larger for their body" - so I don't necessarily think that's unusual. As far as potty training and the pooping, not uncommon. Glad you had a good experience w/ Kathy :). |
Thanks! His name is Magic Johnson. :P |

I may be mistaken, but I seem to remember hearing that many yorkies are mis-diagnosed as having an enlarged heart as seen on x-rays. I would consider a 2nd opinion from a cardiologist to be safe. good luck with your new baby. |
Does this mean Gold Dust Yorkies is still in buisiness? I've emailed and called/left vm's for Kathy and haven't heard back. It's been about 3+ weeks. Figured she wasn't producing anymore since her site hasn't been updated since a year ago. I already found a pup through someone I'm more familiar with, but I did really like her pups and was interested in talking to her about them. |
