Looking for a MALE Yorkie (VIRGINIA, NEW YORK OR NEW JERSEY AREA) Hello Everyone! I'm Diandra, and I am new to this forum! I've am completing my Master's Degree this December and wanted to congratulate myself with a gift I've wanted since I was 16. A yorkie puppy would be the ultimate gift and I've been conducting research on the best places to buy one from! Because of this forum I now know not to buy one from a pet store and I know what a puppy mill is (and to avoid those)! I was so close to buying one from this "breeder" but through this forum I found out it was really a pet store that had changed their name several times because of all the bad reviews! <--- so for that I want to say THANK YOU YORKIE TALK (and because of that I have joined the forum) If anyone knows a breeder or is selling a male yorkie in the Virginia area please let me know. My mother is also on the look out and she lives in the New York/ New Jersey area and would be willing to meet a breeder out there as well! Any information would be helpful, and I am excited about being a member of this excellent forum! Thank you!!! :):):) |
I am glad you have done your research! I wish you luck on your search. I don't know about any breeders in Virginia, but I'm sure some others might be able to help you. |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...e-breeder.html This article is very good. One place to consider is www.ytca.org the National Club for Yorkshire Terriers. They do have a breeders listing page. But like any breeder you still need to research them out. There is an old adage; Buy your breeder first, then wait for a puppy from them. All my time on this board, and my experience in this world; is to do your research first on the breeder, then get a short list of those breeders you want to contact through email or phone. Go to dog shows, see the breed, meet the breeders if that is possible for you. Getting a very good dog at this late date from a great breeder, is well basically pretty slim odds. But if you can for yourself before Christmas have winnowed through the breeders, and have communicated with, and maybe even have submitted a puppy application form, that is achievable I think. If you have done all this, and it is a big task; put under your Xmas tree, a gift certificate for you and from you; maybe this time next year I will have my healthy lovely puppy to love and adore. I wish you much luck with your search. |
