ISO Male Blonde/Gold Teacup Babydoll Cutie Hi there, my name is Dani. I've been in love with Yorkshire Terriers my entire life, big ones, little ones, gold & traditional. My dream pup has always been a little blonde, baby face teacup. Nothing too small, like a micro... Just around 3 or 4 pounds. My boyfriend finally agreed to get me one (yay, I broke him!) but he knows about my dream dog and now won't get me anything else!! "But it's not teacup, but it's not gold!" Which is driving me crazy, because there's so many beautiful, sweet puppies out there- it's hard to pick just one! I've searched countless websites for reputable breeders, and spoken over the phone with well over a dozen this week alone. I'm overwhelmed and discouraged and feel like I'm searching for the Chupacabra- does this dog really exist? My dream dog looks just like my avatar, small, light hair and a baby face. We prefer a little boy, but really just care that he or she is sweet & healthy. We live in Northern California, so we're willing to travel &/or ship. We do have a budget though- $3,000 for a puppy is just way too much. Can you please point us in the right direction? We're forever grateful for your help! |
Welcome to Yorkietalk. Your perfect pup is out there. You will know it when you find him or her. Just be careful when buying. There are good breeders and bad breeders. Just FYI, when they use the word teacup to sell it usually isn't a good thing. So be careful. The pup in the picture looks very similar to a friend of mines baby. So yes, your pup can and will be found. Research who you buy from as it will save you heartache in the future. Good luck in your search! |
I think you are buying into a lot of current sale hype. Please be careful. Terms such as baby doll face, tea cup and such are sometimes used to lure you in. There are some good breeders on this site, but they breed to standard or perhaps parti or brewer. Look at their pages, see what is hype and what is real. It is like having a baby... you will love the puppy you get but you want to do what you can to get a healthy happy puppy (that is what is most important) Good luck |
I agree with above. I would go check out the YTCA website for reputable breeders. And ask questions. Check out my blog for a list of questions to ask. |
Thank you for the help & suggestions. I ended up picking a little girl with traditional colors. I had my eye on her before I posted here & hoped maybe this would be a last ditch effort to find the golden boy, but decided I don't have the time & resources to devote to finding him. I fell in love with her sweet little face and would rather bond with her than trying to see what else is out there. Maybe in a year or so we'll be ready for another dog, in the meantime, I'm totally stoked about my decision. She's flying in from Texas on Tuesday so I'll post pix of her when she's finally in my arms. I appreciate the advice and encouragement I've gotten. I know my "dream dog" will be found one day, but I think my little girl is pretty dreamy too ;) |
Congratulations! At least she has traditional colors NOW!, lol. |
