looking and searching for a Yorkie Me and my mother have been looking for a cute yorkie to spoil, and the first place i discovered to look for a yorkie was of course puppyfind.com due to the low prices. I was scammed for $450 for a yorkie that was supposedly trained, had champ bloodlines, and the whole nine. At first i was scared to send money, but i wanted the puppy so bad i sent the money and never received the yorkie. :eek: Now I'm looking for a yorkie girl for a pretty good price around $300-$450. I live out in the Houston area with pretty much nothing to do daily. I would be very grateful if i was blessed with a yorkie girl at a good price. If you guys know anyone who is selling puppies inmy area or who would ship for a good price, please refer me to them,thanks |
:confused: Is there anything you can do to try and recover your money? It is so sad to me when I hear about people scamming other people. I think it is sad the people can be so cold hearted. I hope you find the puppy your looking for. Good luck :) |
different country and in africa where he is from there are NO LAWS what so ever. It put a hole in my pockets but i really want a yorkie so i will keep searching, just have to be smart about it this time. thanks alot! |
Africa?? Wow. How were you planning to get your puppy? Where was the puppy supposed to be shipped from? |
WOW. I would stay away from any puppy post that is not here in the US. :confused: I would probably try to find a breeder that is whithin driving distance just so you can visit the premises and make sure that you are not purchasing from a puppy mill and more important to make sure that there is a location and a puppy to begin with. It is going to very difficult to find one in the price range that you listed. Maybe you can adopt an older dog or from rescue. Almost all the yorkie puppies sold in my area start at around $700. I would not have a yorkie shipped. I would prefer to meet the puppy in person before committing to buying him or her. Try looking in your local paper or by word of mouth. Maybe you can find something in driving distance or sometimes the breeders are nice enough to meet you somewhere half way. |
This is very common scam among many, unfortunately...I too would suggest a rescue york if that is your budget. It is unlikely that you will find a well-bred yorkie puppy at that price from any reputable breeder. Best of luck. |
I hear more and more sad stories regarding puppyfind.com I am so sorry this happened to you and I am glad it has not hinder you in searching for your puppy. Take your time and do as much research as you can. Patience is the key here. This dedication by yourself is such a huge payoff in the end. I agree w/ looking into a rescue. The section here for Rescues on YT was just updated w/ a few Yorkie's who are so adorable needing a warm, devoted home. |
