I can't judge someone's situation from one post on a message board. I feel bad reading some of the responses to your post. It sounds like you are trying to find a good home for your furkid and doing the right thing. I do agree you should spend the extra bucks and get him neutered - saving him from a puppy mill, backyard breeder, or just overall irresponsible owner. $600 is pricey but it will also weed out people who can't really afford a yorkie. And with pups going for $1500-$3000 these days, $600 for a yorkie really is a great deal. Maybe more people would be willing to pay if he was fixed.

Any who, good luck, he is such a cutie pie, I hope a nice YT will be able to scoop him up :)

People who pay anywhere near 3,000 for a pet quality yorkie are being ripped off.

I agree, depending where you live, pet quality yorkies, even from a show breeder should be no more than $1-2000. This of course is limited registration. I feel like that price should be drastically reduced if a breeder isn't showing, and that's the puppy price not the adult. Adult prices from show breeders are often below $600.00 Remember, you're not really trying to get what the dog is "worth." You're goal when rehoming should be finding a great home and a substantial price break should be offered.

You are "spot on" correct.....no one could be more right.

I've actually been wanting to get another yorkie for my 9 month old yorkie, Sophia. I live in Towson, so that's not too far. Can you tell me a little bit about where he stays during the day and at night? Sophia is crate trained and stays there when me and mike are gone, and she sleeps in the bed with us at night :). I want to make sure that another dog would be able to adapt to this same situation. How is he with other dogs, and do you have his health records?
