He has been with us for a year and a half. He was given to us by a neighbor who did not have the time to care for him. He was extremely under weight and had an at home hair cut. He has been plumped, groomed, and well socialized with all breeds and sizes of dogs as well as people. He is a very devoted and loyal dog in need of a home with a little more time. He does mark inside the home but is trained to use the pee pads as well as ring the bell to be let outside. We currently live in an apartment with 2 other yorkies and he is the only one who will bark at neighbors. He is mostly quiet while we are home with him. We can no longer care for him because of wanting to start a family and with his marking we fear it will be to difficult. I would be more than happy to e-mail any pictures or answer any questions. He would make a great addition to any heart and home. We will miss him very much but know he will be well taken care of by anyone in the yorkietalk community. |
With his issue of marking, please consider placing him with a reputable Yorkie, Maltese or Poodle rescue in your area. They will work with him and find a forever home for him. Placing him with the issue, he may end up going home to home. If you need help locating a rescue by you, please feel free to PM me and I'll gladly try to help you out. Also, being free leaves the door open for a lot of not so good homes. A rescue will really screen where he goes and will take him back if it doesn't work out. Elaine |
Wish I was closer (GA.) I have "rehab-ed" many a dogs and know that I could this one too. Good Luck finding him a forever home or rescue. |
I would also recommend that you turn him into a rescue. You don't want to rehome him and then have him moved from home to home for the rest of his life because of housetraining problems. |
