The one year guarantee from a reputable breeder will include any genetic defects and will compensate you financially for vet expenses relating to the problem up to the cost of the dog. Not just a replacement pup when available. Cause, lets face it, anybody out there feel like they could just replace a beloved pet if it turns out to have liver shunt at 8 months? Greedy breeders are well aware of the fact that you are unlikely to return a dog you love, so that kind of guarantee is worthless. |

Who do you recommend as a good breeder? |
For $2400 I'd feel more at ease getting a pup from one of the wonderful breeders we have here. So you can feel safe your baby is comming from not only genetic defect free lines, but from loving homes to begin with that will be more than happy to help you out & answer questions you might have about takeing care of your new puppy. But at $2400 you might be able to get a show quality dog or pretty darn close to it! Or a very nice pet quality one & have it flown on it's own private jet to your front lawn!!~ :yelrotflm Heck you've almost got enough there for a Biewer! Well that's just my $0.02, as I am also looking to adopt another furbaby sometime next year. And I'd rather be put on a 6mos waiting list from a reputable breeder than get a pup right away from someone that obviously doesn't care about the well being of the pups or the breed. :thumbdown |

I just joined yorkie talk 2 days ago. I'll go talk to one of them. I don't mind being on a waiting list. |

Debra K~ Those are some of the cutest, most adorable yorkie babies I have seen!! I am not a breeder but I have purchased 4 "teacups", or tinies in the last year and three were from California, one from Texas. I know you are looking for advice but not everyone agrees that we should be so "afraid" of tinies or that they are THAT much more difficult or less healthy than a 5 lb yorkie. You sound like you already experienced a very healthy tiny one that lived to be 12 years old. You can find out if this breeder is a good one and go see her babies and see if it is a good fit. I saw nothing wrong with her website but some people have a basic prejudice against tinies because there are a lot of rumors about them. I would love to help you and have visited with most of the breeders in Southern California in person or by telephone. Please PM me if you would like my referrals for the "look" I think you are after. Not all breeders breed for that look and "$2400" in my opinion is a "steal" for those cute puppies on that site. |
