Female Yorkie Wanted: Northern Idaho, Eastern Washington
 
We are looking to give a female Yorkie a home around Christmas time. We have had a hard time finding a breeder that has any puppies available around Christmas time. If anyone knows of anyone that will have Yorkie female puppies in the Northern Idaho or Eastern Washington area please give us their information, we are very interested!

I would suggest checking ytca.org for reputable breeders in your area, but you will have a hard time finding a REPUTABLE breeder that will have puppies at Christmas time.
There is a lot of good info at the top of this section on what to look for and stay away from in a breeder.
Christmas is a stressful time and it's a time when people make impulsive pet purchases and the shelters fill up soon after. So if you research most good breeders do not sell puppies on purpose for that time.

Let me add the Breeder Referral Contact is Doreen Hubbard/Yorkboro Yorkshire Terriers lives in Washington. She has insight to who has puppies, but also has been one of the top breeders for decades.

And you're right reputable breeders will not allow puppies to go home at the holidays. Too much stress on the puppy. To much activity and a pup needs constant care and watching. The possibilty of hyperglycemia from over handling, busy schedules not allowing for proper monitoring, and guests coming in and out can lead to a puppy getting lost.

I think it really depends on your lifestyle. For some Christmas is just another day or is kept low-keyed. If a person's lifestyle can accommodate a puppy regardless of the time of year they should get one when it becomes available as only they know if that time of the year is best for them to get a puppy.
But, hey, that's just my opinion, I just hate to judge other people's time lines as to what works for them without knowing the whole situation. For our family, September is the busiest time of the year, everyone going back to school, rushing, hectic, revamping the family's schedule. Come December we're all back in the groove, all is calm and well.

You're very right. But, the final call is up to the breeder, not the buyer as to when and where they'll allow the puppy to go home too.
