Weren't you here the other day because you had the dog for 2 days and were tired of it whinning and crying? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ot-morkie.html |
Yes I was thank you for remembering me ;) She is still crying but not as much but my sons allergies flared up and husband decided we couldn't keep her our son's health comes first. The main reason we got this kind of dog was b/c I had hear they were hypoallergenic but son won't stop sneezing and puffy eyes yesterday he had to use his inhaler for the first time in months. We took her to the groomers to give her a bath and conditioning but it didn't help. We put a mirror infront of her crate and it helped cut down the barking a little, we also started taking her out for walks and letting her run after the kids right before bedtime so we get her SUPER tired and don't let her sleep after 5 pm it seems to be doing the Trick she still cries when we put her in the crate but then falls alseep for a couple of hours. Thanks for all the tips. Hopefully we find a good home for her. |
Wow...how odd. Both yorkies and maltese breeds are usually good for those with allergies. Both me and my daughter have severe dog and cat allergies and we do great with our yorkie and our yorkie poo. |
WoW ! People really pay $900.00 for a mutt ? |

I hope that you are able to find her a new home but the price that you are asking is extremely high. I'm sure you are only trying to recoup what you paid but there are many Yorkies available that are pure bred that are priced less. IMO you should seriously reconsider price over finding her a good home. Your story is just heart wrenching. Good luck and I hope you are able to find her a wonderful home quickly. :( |

This is the original post before Alma got the Morkie http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ml#post3212056 Someone buying a pup for $900 would be asking for some sort of health guarantee I would think (I know I would), and could you guarantee the puppy's health??? If the breeder gave you a guarantee, would she be willing to transfer the guarantee to a new owner? Have you talked to the breeder to see if she will take the puppy back for rehoming? Do you have any contract with the breeder as to what would happen with the puppy if you couldn't keep it? |
You are not going to get your $$ back and I hope you'll reconsider and just try to find a very good home for your girl. She has been through a lot and sometimes we just have to chalk things up to life experience and take a loss in order to do the right thing. It's evident by the crying etc. that you already described that this little one is having a terribe time adjusting. She really needs to be in an experieced loving home that will be able to provide the stability and love she needs. If your son is truly allergic I would urge you to not base your sale on the amount of money but rather the home. If you are unable to find her a suitable loving home then I would further urge you to look into a reputable Yorkie/Maltese rescue that can find one for you. Has she been to the vet? I would be very concerned as to why she as actually crying without being vet checked. In many cases where these babies come from can also cause the crying, worms, illness, and age. yes, your little one may even be younger then what they've told you. Please consider what I've said and consider the pups best intereste rather then the $$ amount. Elaine |

You of course knowing took a risk with a severly allergic son to buy any animal. For the record there are no Hypoallergenic cats - well actually one, but you would need to research this specific breed, and also try a test run with your son. And they would most likely be expensive. $900 is a lot to ask for a mixed breed of unknown origins, and health. I would suggest you do chalk this up to experience, and don't try to "recoup" the monies et al you paid for this pup. Your challenge if you feel up to it, is to find a very good forever home for this wee one. If you can't do this, then surrender your girl to a local rescue, so that they can insure she gets any treatments she needs, and will as they have done so many times in the past, place this pup in a secure and loving environment. I am so very sorry for this little pup and hope they find themselves soon in a good loving home. |

WOW I guess i'm haven't done absolutely nothing right.....we don't give her enough food, water, we shouldn't crate her as much, I should have more patience, we shouldn't take her outside, I shouldn't sell her for so much I feel like such a horrible person for getting her and messing up her whole life yes I've contacted seller and she won't take her back, I'm at a loss I don't want to keep on messing her poor young life according to most of you :( but I want my son to be healthy and not suffer so many allergies |
