Looking for a Yorkie Breeder in NJ/PA
 
Hi,

We are a family with 2 daughters, living in Central NJ. Their boxer passed away this past spring, and after the summer, we are planning on getting a yorkie.

My wife grew up with a one, and had many fond memories. Does anyone have a referral of a reputable breeder in NJ or Eastern PA?

I'm sorry about the loss of your boxer!
I don't have any breeders for you, but I would suggest contacting YTCA.org for reputable breeders in your area.

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your precious Boxer. What a wonderful breed of dog. Our Boxer, Boo, is almost 14 1/2 years old, and is at the age where we count every single day that she is with us an extra blessing.

I have three Yorkie pups that are available - they are 6 months old and are simply precious, however I live in Georgia and do not ship. If you would be interested in talking yorkies please send me a pm with your phone number and I'll gladly call you.

Sorry about your loss. My grandparents had a boxer when I was little, I love the breed.

I second the recommendation to check out the YTCA links. Please be very careful when looking in the PA area- there are lots of Amish puppymillers in the area.

Sorry about your loss. As a small kid, we had a boxer, Joe, who lived to be 12 and was my best friend! Good luck when you get your new Yorkie. Smaller than a Boxer, but the same size attitude.

I have a little boy 13 weeks old. My last girl went to a YT member. We split the drive. My puppies are well worth the drive.:D

you can try Topknotchpups.com she is in south jersey. I got my first female from the breeder she gets her from. my breeder moved out of country. She is a broker though i never met her i hear nice things of her.
I have 2 litter due soon and am in central jersey. one is due NOW and the other in 2 weeks therefore they will not be ready to home till december. but would take application and reservations after birth and first health ck up.
we are too excited for the new pups arrival i cant even tell you!!!

I would NEVER suggest for someone to get their puppy from a broker nor would I suggest that site. They have multiple breeds and all kinds of mixed breeds, which are red flags and something I would steer clear of at all costs!
Reputable breeders do not use brokers and they do not mix breeds and breed all kinds of mixes. JMO

When i bought my pup she use to broker the pups in south jersey from the breeder i purchased from who bred at home. I would never purchase from someone that ships their pups they are just money hugry cruel people. i suggested her just because i knew who is purchased from...that all

EXACTLY!! There are several reputable breeders in your area. Like several have suggested, look at the YTCA breeder referral and I also suggest not buying from anyone that you can't visit unless they are a long time, respected, exhibitor/ breeder and even then, it's still good to visit. It's very important to have a good relationship with your breeder as reputable breeders are going to be there for you for life.

if you want a member of YCTA i would suggest Keith Turpin he is in Abury Park nj he occationally has puppies, check Wachong mountain YTCA. Most members of the YTCA, at least here in NJ will not sell to people who have children under 10. At the time i was looking, my children were young and i was honest about it. I have never had an incident with my children with my dogs for i am a responsible SAHM and i supervised them handling the dogs.

So if I'm understanding correctly the breeder you purchased from uses this site to broker her puppies? If that is correct, I wouldn't buy from this site or the breeder you purchased from.

One should breeder for the betterment of the breed, they should have the best representation of the breed. They should do all the right testing, evaluating, etc.. They should have AKC registry. Not that AKC will guarantee a good breeder, but a breeder with any other registry almost always will guarantee otherwise!

I do agree with you and believe that anyone who needs to develop a website to sell their dogs is money hungry. I just personally believe that shipping is cruel for a new pup , its just my opinion. I perfer to see the parents and environment in which the pup is raised. Would i buy from her personally? No she does not have the parents on site. I just know she sold some of the pups that my breeder had and believe that she gets them locally, but i could be wrong. I would have perfered to purchase from YTCA and i know someone locally. But getting full registration is imposible around here and i dont believe in shipping
