Looking to Adopt a Puppy Yorkie Hello, My name is Amanda and my fiance and I are looking to adopt a puppy Yorkie. We currently have a dog but we are looking to adopt another one as we are both very much in love with dogs. I have always wanted a Yorkie ever since I was little and although I have not owned one myself my family is filled with them. My Aunt was breeding her's for many years and their children are now with my grandmother and my mother. I was hoping to get one myself but it was becoming too much of a strain on my Aunt's Yorkie to continue breeding. I live in New Jersey and I am willing to travel to pick up a puppy within the state. I am still in the process of looking around for a new baby. Please let me know if you do have any in New Jersey for adoption. Thanks. |
I just wanted to suggest to check YTCA.org for reputable breeders in your area. There is a lot of good information on this forum on what to look for in a breeder! Good luck! |
Thank you very much I will definitely look into this website further and I have been reading many thinks on this forum as well. |

I actually grew up in Point. I just moved out of my parent's house and into Belmar with my fiance. I do go to both places, I actually lived in a winter rental about 2 years ago in Manasquan and it was like 4 houses down from Leggetts. I had my first legal drink there. |
I have a beautiful boy I'm looking for a the perfect home for. I do have him for sale in the For Sale Section. I have a wonderful friend that will fly my pups to their new parents. They fly in cabin. :) Good luck in your search! Yorkie's are addictive tho! You may not be able to stop at just one! ;) |
Hello I am personally a little weary about the flying part especially because I have heard of so many people not receiving their delivery of the puppy. How much are the puppies and the transportation fee? |

I had my little sweetie, Beamer, flown to me from Michigan. I had no problems, but I was buying from a reputable breeder. Breny's gorgeous little boy is here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...er-family.html |
What should I do if I can not afford some of these prices for Yorkie's? |

Maintaining Yorkies once you have them does cost $$$! |
Welcome to YT...I live in Farmingdale, Nj about 15 min from you. We are expecting 2 litters in Sept. Not for adoption but for sale. Felicity is due in about a week with 3 pups ...we are hoping for a safe whelp and are very excited! One of her little boys, from a previous litter, lives on my street. I just saw him this morning. He is soooo cute and i love getting to see him often and he visits his mom too. |

If you can't afford to buy one then look at the shelters and rescue groups. But still be sure you are going to be able to afford all the vet fees. But be warned, if you buy from an ad in the paper, or Craiglist, or anywhere other than a reputable breeder you are not going to be able to guarantee a healthy Yorkie. What starts out as inexpensive can end up being the most expensive. Some Yorkies have problems that are genetic, and your puppy mills and BYB don't screen their Yorkies before breeding. When I bought Beamer last year, I could have bought a much cheaper Yorkie through the ads in the local paper. But I wanted a healthy dog that was bred to standard and had good lines (Not for showing or breeding, as I neither show nor breed), but this is a dog that is going to be a member of my family for many years (my first Yorkie lived 15.1/2 years) and I don't want to spend most of his life at the vets. |
Does anyone know about any scams with this email address chewelpen@gmail.com. Or does anyone know anything about purchasing a Yorkie through EbayClassifieds? |
How much are you going to be selling one of the puppies for? I know that some are very expensive but I would love to own one. I just moved into my home with my fiance and we are both looking into a Yorkie but we can not be spending a great deal of money. Will you be breeding again after this litter? Just wondering because if I can not afford a puppy now then maybe I could save for one if you will be having a future litter. |
